Turang's price tag apparently is now first half of round 1 which is about 3.6 million.
The Brewers will be able to low ball the hell out of the three seniors and spend maybe 50k but they'll have to save some major cash AND sign the remaining 6 picks to take a shot at Turang.
No player taken after pick 20 in the draft has ever gotten a signing bonus of 3 million or higher (bonuses go up from year to year as well).
Coincidentally enough Tyler Beede did not sign as the 21st pick in 2011 and went on to become the 14th pick in the 2014 draft.
I still think he signs but it's going to be fun to watch.

I have seen nothing about that anywhere but here. Nothing to indicate either are going anywhere. Both are on the summer league rundown.

Slaughter has improved over last year. The issue I personally had with him was his defense and accuracy getting the ball to the bags for outs. He had a good offensive performance in the Regional. His defense made me cringe. He just makes too many mental errors on basic defensive baseball. I watched the 3rd basemen from each of LSU's opponents make plays look effortless on defense. Yes there can always be improvement defensively as well, but if Mainieri thinks some things can be improved upon at that position, I'll have to give him the benefit of the doubt and look forward to improved play there with another.
