Whether he uses him or not is different, but you have to get him ready to be able to face a LH batter or 2 if needed.

Against Army, fine, you take your chances. But it could decide LSU’s season later in the year if they have no Lhp to get out a LH in a big spot

I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing.

Or he could pitch one of the 12 right handers who are way better at pitching than Cabrera...

I remember people, even some respected ones here, saying the single LHP wouldn't be a problem this year "because college baseball is different than MLB."

Hmmm...

I’ll allow it, but only if he lets Peterson hit nukes.

Fontenot, Beck, and Peterson all have stuff that can get LH out. Beck’s curveball works against both. Fontenot throws 94 with movement. Peterson can hit 96-97. When Hilliard is healthy his curve works well against hitters on both sides of the plate as well.

PM has been to Omaha multiple times, has won the CWS, there is no need to feel uneasy or hit the panic button after the second game
We have these discussions every fricking year especially after midweek losses. It's embarrassing how pathetic our fan base is.

There is one on the roster he’s just hurt.

2 biggest hits for each team came on RHP vs LH

Then PM was forced to intentionally walk their 3 hole with 2 outs & a runner on 3rd down 5-3 cause he has no lefties. Didnt haunt us but still

When has LSU had no LHP’s available ?

Not sure this has ever been discussed cause it has never happened

I’m not hitting any panic button but it’s game 2 & it’s alreasy rearing it’s head.

Meanwhile, Jaden Hill batted .540 as a Sr last season. He needs to DH.

From what has been said, we won’t have one all year. I don’t know how you don’t recruit at least one, or at least have a position player that pitched in high school

It’s as if some of these guys have never seen a two-way player in college baseball. Kentucky had the SEC Player of the Year just a few years ago because he was a good pitcher and a great hitter.

It’s not absurd to believe Cabrera, who pitched for us last year, could give us some help on the mound this season.

We need one or two useable lefties. I really don’t know how good Cabrera is at pitching so I’m not ready to dismiss the OP altogether. Seems like a long shot though
