We have a coach focused on winning football games now. He's not a huge pussy so he dgaf about what color uniforms we wear.

It's one of only two combos that everyone identifies immediately as L-S-U football. It's high time we wear it vs Clemson or a high profile opponent, rather than just McNeese, or Southeastern, or Towson State.

I'd actually prefer that this combo and the all white combo be put out to pasture.
We already wear white more than any other team in the country. We don't need MORE white combos for the very rare occasion that we actually wear our purple.
We have a unique color combo that makes LSU distinctively LSU and people want us to add more white to a team that wears white already for home and away. It makes no damn sense and it doesn't look particularly good to begin with.

Just need to go back to wearing them more sporadically. Remember how cool it was when we wore the white-purple-white against Tulane in 2007? The all white against auburn in 2011…
Rocking it every other week cheapens the value. Our real uniforms are iconic. Even our biggest haters agree.
We should never wear the white-gold-white combo again. Just not a good uniform.

The unwritten rule is we wear white against P4 “big game” non-conference opponents at home.
We wear purple against “cupcakes,” FCS schools, etc.

There has always been some variance in the exact shade of purple for the jerseys. Just part of the deal.

I find it shocking we can't get the purple shades to match on the helmet and jersey. It ain't rocket science.
