Kool, so does Frank have a job with one of those?

If not then, why would Berry transfer to either?

If frank is canned or moves on, Berry will be playing somewhere else in the SEC.

Ole Miss in state recruiting is atrocious.

I’d say it’s more that the old recruiting paradigm is almost meaningless now.

People refuse to acknowledge this reality. I think the days of having people on staff who are coaching liabilities simply because they have recruiting relationships is over.

You do understand its not just about the running backs, right? It's about recruiting Louisiana as a whole and no does it better than Frank.

Frank has known the Berry’s for over a decade and recruited Harlem since he was in the 8th grade. Recent interview Jacques Doucet conducted with Harlem’s mom and dad confirmed they trust Frank more than anyone else and “Frank is my boy”. If Frank was hired by an SEC competitor and Harlem offered a significant NIL deal it would not surprise me if Harlem follows.

If that is what he values then he should leave. Keeping coaches to retain a single player is idiotic. It's how we got stuck with Joe Sloan and basically ruined the season.

Very few people on this board know anything about high school recruiting

Frank’s value is recruiting, specifically New Orleans. I would actually say he is a below average on-field coach.

This. Lane isn’t going to want to miss out on that either. Frank might be RB coach for now but will probably be moved into another role, maybe just associate HC or assistant HC eventually. He still brings too much value as a recruiter but I bet Lane will want to bring in his own guy there in a couple of years.

Really is tbh. Freeze recruited that state better WITH Mullen at MSU than Lane ever did without a true threat in Starkville.

Not that Lane was a bad recruiter, just felt weird that when I was playing ball and still living in MS in 2011-2014, I saw sooo many dudes stay in-state vs now

Frank controls New Orleans and other parts of Louisiana. Relationships are far more important; Frank has built them, and there's no need to create division by letting him go. I remember Ed landed in some hot water with the coaches in New Orleans.

I like the idea of making him the Associate HC and Recruiting Coordinator.

Berry is getting paid. He’s not going anywhere unless it’s for money.

There is only one head coach. It’s not Frank Wilson. I agree. Let him do something with Recruiting. He’s not our Coach

Good lord some of you cant see the big picture. Yes recruiting is changing.

Frank has pretty much single handedly held this recruiting class together. Dec 3 will be a great day for LSU.

Frank is very popular with players on the current roster we want to keep.

When we target a portal player guess who the first contact is with? yeah its Frank.

So its a lot more than "one player".

So yeah lets fire Frank two days before National SIgning day!!!! Not going to happen becasue Kiffin isnt an idiot.

No shite. He’s talking about naming him assistant HC or associate HC. Plenty of NFL and college coaches have had that title in the past.

Dan Campbell was associate HC with the Saints for several seasons in addition to being TE coach. They can carve out a role like that for Frank. Associate HC/Run Game Coordinator (not the RB coach)
