Dude has us 12-0 and ripe for a Natty......but Les had that JJ love for some reason and split the locker room. The start of where we are today in the LSU down fall!

While I agree and hated how Lee was handled at the end, lets not deviate to this topic

That's what I meant. We should not Jarret Lee him we should Tommy Hodson him

I had no idea actually, he was a little before my time. Just remember hearing he was really good as a freshman

Lee was a head case from the beginning. Let's stop making every freshman quarterback comparison a 1:1 to him.

You snowflakes need to get over 2008. Not every QB is mentally weak like Pick 6 Lee was.

These 2 get it. Only Jarrett Lee could Jarrett Lee. MB and LN are not Jarrett Lee. Some young QB's can actually develop by playing. It's not going to be any different next year. None. Oline weak? Okay, stand him up and get the ball out quickly. That's the offense he knows best anyway.

Until the offensive line improves, who the quarterback is only means who gets hurt first.

there's only 1 jarrett lee. brennan seems to be cut from a much different cloth than lee when it comes to quick decision making and mental toughness.

But please let's not just THROW him to the wolves. Subtle playtime.....small confidence boosters.....slow progression as he comes into his own.

I agree to a degree....but if Etling continues to look shittier and shittier....which is apt to happen as the meat of the SEC schedule comes on....I'm ok with OTJ training for young Myles.

he almost had two picks in a short period, that floater to the sideline should been picked off

That looked like a designed throw though and it was stupid because we threw it across the field to #41 (who I can't recall us throwing to once last year) and he had zero separation on the defender (and the risk to reward ratio was bad).

That throw had to be out of break to lessen the time DB/LB had to react.

And Ducre should be drifting back towards the LoS right after break, turning towards the ball once straight back towards Brennan once he released it late. The best way to prevent your route from being jumped is to jump the ball.

Boom! Lee was not ruined by overexposure as a freshman. He just wasn't very good.

Jarrett Lee was not scarred by the whole pick-6 thing, Miles was.

Lee has the 2nd longest string between interceptions in LSU history

Yet Miles couldn't get past asking the freshmen to win games for him by having to throw the ball, due to his inept co-DC bullshite

It eventually cost Miles his job. In the middle of the season. Karma

I wasn't trying to knock Brennan, he will be a good one. I am just saying he is extremely inexperience right now with a horrific offensive line. It wouldn't be smart to literately just throw him into SEC play. We really needed this entire first month if we wanted experience for him

How 'bout we not let Les Miles' massive QB failures dictate how we set up the future.

Les was paralyzed with fear of every QB after Lee (with the possible exception of ZM).

With freshman QBs leading teams all over the country the last few years, we cant just assume LSU will co tinier to fail massively at the QB position.

Yes, I know the O line is a dumpster fire, but it might be next year also. If this season is a bust then frick it, let's get him fully up to speed for next season.
