Slow your roll, Stalin

They owe him nothing. He’s violated his contract multiple times and publicly embarrassed the university and state. The only reason he’s getting his buyout now is because he’s threatened to bring the whole ship down and destroy the program if he doesn’t. But he “loves LSU”

Let me tell you a little something son. The standard of performance is being tan AF and Jacked to the teeth. Lsu will keep losing games but that tan will still be elite long after your crying is done.
Of all of the stupid, inane, and childish posts you have subjected us to over the years, this is the pinnacle. It may go into the Ran't's Idiotic Post Hall of Fame.
In your defense, I hope that you composed it while falling down drunk on some cheap light beer or similar swill.

What do you have against the tan big boy, Gray?

It's not ME that seems to have a problem with someone who has a tan. That would be expected of someone that works outside, wouldn't it?
And being "Jacked to the teeth" seems to also be an issue.
I'm supposing the respondent is fat, flabby, pasty faced and envious. Not that there is anything wrong with that?

I love LSU, but I wouldn't just leave millions of dollars I had earned because I love LSU. Neither would you. And he did earn it. You can quibble about how much of 2019 was his doing, but the truth of the matter is, he was ultimately responsible for 2019 as much as he is ultimately responsible for 2020 and 2021.
Also, don't be a negative biatch. No one is happy with LSU's record since 2019, but if someone wants to make a post on how much Coach O loves LSU, they can. If you don't like a post like that, then stay the frick out of it.

LSU did not pay him one cent more than they were contractually obligated to pay.
Aren’t they paying over 4 years instead of it being spread out longer with smaller payments along with possibility of some offset reductions based on having to make a good faith effort to gain employment in coaching?
Most buyout amounts with or without possible issues are said to be a starting point due to how they are structured long term and with offsets. Either up front or later like Les they take less to get more of it paid sooner and/or avoid offset reductions when taking a new coaching job.
O’s new buyout is better for him than LSU was contractually obligated to pay him under contract signed in 2020. Both parties agreed to ditch that to sign new contract that benefits Ed almost like Ed threatened to use or do some stuff to LSU.

This is the bottom line.

No it isn't.
If the contract isn't terminated, then LSU owes him the money. Those were the terms that were agreed to. Don't wanna pay him the money? Then fire him for cause. Those are the choices.
They owe him nothing.

Don't feel like you must sugarcoat it for our sake.

Yeah he had a chance to try to clear up his image a little bit at least within the fan base and he totally failed. The comment about his mom and the cheeseburger comment really pissed me off. frick that dipshit. He deserves absolutely no credit for anything LSU has done from 17-19.

If he really loved LSU he would have left for a lot less money!!
Likewise, if players really loved LSU they wouldn’t opt out or go pro early - right?

All I know is that summer of 2020, across at the gas pump, Ed said that the D was going to get more penetration to disrupt plays, and the Aranda hadn't gotten that done enough.
Anyone ever see the D consistently disrupt plays since then?
