I get that, but is that a fireable offense?

Firing for cause

Posted by tigers_daily59 on 10/27/25 at 10:19 am
Does anyone have any info on what the cause we would fire Kelly for is? Mascona said last night he’s heard rumblings of them trying it. Someone mentioned the Greg Brooks jr. stuff, and Mascona said they’re were other things but wouldn’t go into detail. Does anyone know anything?

Jacoby Matthews

Does anybody know what happened with him? Last I heard he was trending to Oregon back in April but haven’t heard anything since.
Didn’t Kelly say multiple times “this loss was on coaching” yesterday? Are you just making shite up? Frick you dude
They owe him nothing. He’s violated his contract multiple times and publicly embarrassed the university and state. The only reason he’s getting his buyout now is because he’s threatened to bring the whole ship down and destroy the program if he doesn’t. But he “loves LSU”

I think the main difference is you would have 2 ends that are close to klavons size and build (maybe a bit bigger) and can play the run and rush the passer. Our base nickel front this year had klavon playing basically at defensive end, then Lawrence shelvin and Logan (all who are defensive tackles/ nose tackles). In both fronts (ours and a 4-2-5) you have 4 guys playing the line of scrimmage, but the main difference is in the 4-2-5 you have 2 guys at ends who have the speed to be effective rushing of the edge, and 2 tackles on the inside. Instead what we ran had one edge rusher and 3 dt’s. I love Logan and Lawrence, but theyre not great pass rushers on the edge. That’s why we struggled to get effective pass rush without going to that “green team” or 3rd down package we had where we basically had 1 dt on the field. Obviously divinity being suspended hurt us a lot, too.

You hung 44 points on a team missing a they’re best dB and pass rusher. Also I don’t know if you realize this or not but that doesn’t count towards this season. You know what else you did? Beat North Carolina by 1 in the first year of a new head coach. GTFO you appalachian gump.
Finally everyone realizes there’s some guy who says this every signing day. You’re being that guy and nobody likes that guy

Hopefully Frank Wilson
From what I understand it means that when someone who was a scholarship player on your 85 voluntarily transfers out, you can use a scholarship on someone else to replace them
I think so too. I think Ingram will probably rotate at both guards though to get him back ready. Regardless it’s a really good problem to have heading into the second half of our schedule.

Just realized looking at this thread that right now we have

LT-Charles
LG-Ingram/Magee
C-Cushenberry
RG-Lewis
RT- Deculus

And next year

LT- Charles/rosenthal
LG-Ed Ingram
C- Hines
RG- Kardell / Bradford
RT- Deculus / rosenthal

It looks like we’ve actually got some pretty good OL depth going forward. Still obviously need to land dumerville or Crawford but things are looking pretty good for the foreseeable future.
Is Bryce young an elite passer? I remember I watched him last year and it seemed like he was mostly a threat with his legs but it’s been awhile so he definitely could’ve gotten better.

Out of all the responses, I think this is the only one that has any backing
You forget who tore UGA up FAR worse than Texas did. A motivated UGA team with all their studs playing too. Texas football fans are way to hyped right now after that sugar bowl. Certainly a great game for them, but lsu scored 36 on the same defense, except UGA had deandre baker for the lsu game, who is ATLEAST top 3 best corners in the country. And all y'all wanna talk about is how bad lsu's offense is, but when you score less against the same defense, how does that work? Or is it just that you think Texas has a great offense because you get to play the oklahoma defenses of the world week in and week out? One more stat. In 2018, lsu averaged 32.5 pts per game (against better defenses), Texas averaged 31.1 .
Could not possibly agree more
Y'all litterally wait until he gets one thing wrong and then melt. The guy is almost always right and clearly has inside info. Maybe just maybe it's not that vol is lying it's that recruiting is quite possibly the most fluid thing possible and kids say one thing and do another especially today where almost every kid is pre madonna. Grow up. Also thanks vol for your info
I'm stuck between feeling like this and starting a gofundme to put billboards asking him to stay up around Baton Rouge

Another side note but could you imagine that uga game if we scored touchdowns 75% of time we ended up kicking those field goals?

Oh I completely agree with you. I thought the game plan yesterday was almost perfect. Also valid point about the penalties to causing the stalls too. it's just virtually impossible to beat bama or any great defense with that style because you're relying on being able to consistently get 4-5 yard or longer run plays when you need them, and with where we're at on the o-line right now, I just don't know how realistic that is. Still a great game and great season, alot of reasons to be optimistic about next year
