2018 Season:
• October 2018: Following a 41-7 loss to Auburn, senior leaders called a players-only meeting. LSU ended the season with a 10-3 record, including a Fiesta Bowl victory.

Did you just make this entire thing up?

Penn has been awful for past two years. Williams at least is a walk on and has had a few highlights in his career.

Exactly. It blows my mind to see all the nega tigers constantly post about “seasons over” “who cares” etc. The seniors care. The recruits care. Momentum is important. Go into next year on a high!!

So no, not too late. Finish strong, haul in the monster class, keep building for the future.

Neither does florida. That's a bullshite excuse.

Lsu will get way more players drafted than Florida will.

at all the whiny pussies in this thread.

Players only meetings are almost always called to address the one thing the players can hold each other accountable for, effort (or lack thereof)

This team needs that right now.

I appreciate that but they should've done that after Bama

They gave away 3 games this season and I think they fully expected to beat Fla.

The season is already a huge disappointment,
by those that saw 8-4 or 9-3 at best before the season knowing that LSU was breaking in a new QB, Center and the loss of dline with only freshmen to replace them? I find it coincidental that Dellinger leaves before halftime of TAMU and this happens. CJ Daniels getting hurt has been a problem for some of those as well.

They broke in a new DC to boot.

They haven’t lived up to the LSU standard,
not finishing games for sure. They can’t throw a screen pass because they Oline is not great. Someone asked Kelly preseason about the Oline and if this was his best. He was very cagey with his response because he saw weaknesses and didn’t have too many answers considering his QB being new and how critical the center position is.

Who besides the 2 tackles who may not even be second round now. Who? Drops Lacy? 5 round.

What players are that good from this team that is playing this year and getting drafted this year? Dellinger will. Nuss? 6 you d if he leaves.
What players are “LSU Quality” you’ve seen? Ryan? Burns?

CJ Daniels is the best on offense and maybe Aaron Anderson. They are not Thomas Jr and Nabers or Chase, Jefferson and Marshall.
The talent is not great. UF will have players drafted.

This class will help you get there.
That is the hope. However this coaching staff leaves a lot to be desired. O line coach isn't proven and we'll have 3-4 new starters next season. We'll see how it works out.

I think it means they are tired, banged up, shorthanded and pressing without the energy or depth to press. I think the coaches are pressing some. This usually end up with poor play and lots of mistakes.

The saeson is toast. Just go out there and have fun, play your game, try not to press and let Nuss sling it like he did against UGA. Don't micro manage Nuss. Rotate a lof of player on D. Play all the RBs and WRs. Just make sure you don't do what you did the last 3 weeks. Maybe - try not coaching, just let these guys play. Make it simple. Nothing to lose here. Turn them lose and they can score 50 against Vandy. BK - take a break - let Frank take over. Go focus on NSD. Put a smile on your face for a change. Lift it up to the Lord. We've moved on to basketball.

Doesn't this usually mean that the coach has lost the team?

No. The point of decision for this team right now is their pride. Do they finish strong or fold. These players were all the best players wherever they came from. These are the high school MVPs, the youth league champions, and elite. As a group, if they get together and decide to show some pride and finish strong, it will be better for them and the program.
