Remember filthy tired arm Jared Poche against Rice. Something about lefties on short rest, they just get nastier.

Marceaux came back and threw 50+ pitches to close out that regional final.
Then was only able to go 3 innings (55 pitches) the next weekend in the Super. It’s a lot to ask, but you almost have to roll the dice with the season on the line.

These are 20 year old kids, not dried up old ladies. If they were scheduled to throw today, give them the ball. When you come from the loser's bracket, this is what happens

That's only 2 1/2 days rest for JUMP

No such thing as 1/2 day rest.

Jump shouldn't pitch.

We didn’t really have a 2 that year and that was in Knoxville. This is to play in BR. Holman would pitch game one of the supers to give Jump an extra day of rest. It took every bullet we had to win that regional along with a balk call in the 8th inning to walk in a run.

Today will be no different. Unload the tank here and now and bring it home for the Supers.

I will take a stab and say first 3 will be Coleman, Ack and Hellmers then go from there. Jay trusting Hellmers more lately. Will see soon

Johnny Wholestaff—inning or two from 4 or 5 guys, Jump in the 9th for the save.

Normally I'd say no chance at Jump pitching today. But knowing we have a Super in the Box vs West Virginia if we win, well that changes things a little. If you think Jump could go for a bit tonight at the risk of him not starting a potential SR game 1 or 2, you do it.

It is his regular scheduled bullpen day. This means he would normally throw 50 to 60 pitches at full velocity.

Jump can absolutely go one inning if he is needed and expresses his desire to take the mound tonight in a crucial situation. He's that Dog.

So, Jump in the Opener role?

postseason roster

Anyone have a link to this?

And I dont think Anderson will pitch. First year back from TJ, threw 40+ pitches over 2 outings yesterday. I dont think its the # of pitches, but the 2 outings that would work against him.

50 pitches from Jump could be 3 innings and once through their lineup. Then give him game 2 of the Super after Holman wins Friday.

Apologies if this was answered elsewhere - but why is Cam Johnson not available? I think I read he's "not on the post season roster". Why? Do we have a smaller roster for postseason than regular season and he just didn't make the cut? Or is it some other reason he isn't active?

I know based on his limited performance earlier in the year we wouldn't expect much but just curious.

I think there is a 27-man limit for postseason but someone else may know for sure.
