i wonder if they will actually show the replays that we want to see on it.

But it is a upgrade to our minitron we had...
I actually prefer ours to the UT one. The UT is just a big rectangle, but ours has a nicer border with our logo and national title years on it (I wonder how they're going to update it in 2010?) I dig the smaller screens on the side too.

Any chance they upgrade the PA system along with it? It's a shame to have a top of the line video screen with a PA system that's worse than many high schools have.

just think about being in the student section 2 and a half hours before the game and being able to watch the other sec game on it

Several points:
1) That screen is absolutely too big. You have to be on the other side of the stadium for your eyes to efficiently adjust to the behemoth size.
2) We will not have 2 huge screens, only 1. The other end zone isn't getting one because of foreseeable future expansion.
3) I think our PA system was upgraded last year... unfortunately. Now they are starting to play piped in music. Even as a fan of 99% of the music that they play, I don't like it. It just doesn't belong in college football.
