PFT: Florio picks up the Benson ultimatum

National media don't normally talk about us but Florio will get into the nitty gritty. I disagree with Simms on the "coaching can only do so much" as he isn't really paying attention like we are

I've been pretty open about my opinion of Moore and that the writing is on the wall.
But, Gayle went too far the other way. The reason to question Moore isn't because we are 1-4 and that record not being reasonable. I don't think any coach could solve the problems we are currently facing.
If Moore really is on the hot seat and his performance in the next half 3-4 games are important...he's toast.

correct.
we are facing times of action due to the fans low iq tantrums in an overreaction society.
I'm ok with a slow applied pressure on kellen but MUCH of it needs to be done in house and not in public viewing because Jonas the Retard saint on twitter is mad we haven't won a super bowl in kellen's 2nd season.

The problems with Moore aren’t necessarily the results, it’s the whole process. Slow starts, anemic offense, no run game, procedure penalties, rarely playing with a lead.
The rest of the dysfunction is on the front office

Agreed. Less talented players can still play with discipline and attention to detail.

a coach quitting on us.
the worst cap situation management getting us back to normal slowly
oldest team in league being made younger.
quite frankly a huge stretch of shitty injury situations for a team that couldn't afford them.
i don't give a shite about your tantrums. wanting results and winning is the easy part bro. you get no cookies.

This is one of the scenarios where Kellen Moore’s demeanor pisses people off
He shows no fire, no emotion, no passion when the franchise is in a really tight spot

but obviously there are real issues with team right now.
but needing kellen to behave a certain way for cameras is stupid fodder.

Agree.
If Kellen was winning games no one would care.

This is a problem with coaching leadership, but it is also a big problem with leadership in the locker room.
Veterans who have played at a successful level don't just forget how to play at that level. If' you've played at a high level and your current coach just isn't motivating you to that level right now, and you're NOT playing up to that level, it's 100% your fault. AND when the younger guys are not playing to that level it's a lot of your fault too because they are looking at you more than the coaching staff. Veterans show the younger player how to be professionals and this team is sorely missing veteran leadership.
Period.
Kellen Moore needs to figure out the problems on his coaching staff and with his scheme because it look to me like the players are not bought into the system or the process.
He should have known in his and Shoughs 2nd year, teams would have good film on them. He wasn't prepared. Now all eyes are on him to make adjustments. He either will rise to the occasion or flop. and if he flops, there is no way anyone survives the house cleaning.
IF Gayle is serious about what she said. If this fails, especially 2 years in then all have to go. If not she'll never regain the fans.

to an extent. you could tell the media was annoyed by his non-answers during the Cam and Alvin debacles over the summer. he can only say "we love those guys" and "opportunity" so many times to questions before people start calling him on being unauthentic
ross jackson started doing it a couple days ago pretty pointedly

seriously who gives a frick.
things were playing out in negotiations behind the scenes.
There is nothing for kellen to offer the media. Saints keep a tight lid, its supposed to be that way. Jesus. Now we have to pander to the media better and give them answers that they don't need to be knowing.

everyone. the guy can't answer simple questions and looks like a deer in headlights, that's the point. On top of the fact that he can't coach offense or install a blocking scheme that works
hence why players aren't buying into his leadership

he can, he's just giving PR fodder. Giving hot one line zingers is fools gold.

I'm all for criticism on actual coaching and schemes. Criticising press conference PR answers and him taking full accountability and is not going to behave like a child and throw his team under the bus for cameras is not a valid criticism.

i'm not sure i see that.
i see players that suck and/or are old as frick.
my biggest concerns are special teams are horrible and run blocking/scheme shite. I think Doug Nussmeier, O Line guy, and Special teams guy needs to hit the road.

If Moore had his team playing like the Dolphins and was 1-4, no one would be saying anything. His team visibly quit 3 games into the season. He will not weather the storm because he is incapable of doing it.

If you’re not getting results you better be a damn good talker or able to express a vision about how you’re going to turn your performance around.
Signed literally and career on earth.
