This is the stupidest idea I've heard yet. We are already overflowing with studs on offense they just don't get the ball. It would create problems between the players--as I said, the awesome players on offense already don't get the ball enough if at all. Also, our defense and special teams are the best thing about this team--leave them alone. Stupid. Just stupid.

Maybe he gets a play in at QB?

This staff still hasn't "found" a way to get Rueben Randle, Russell Shepard and Terrence Toliver the ball yet or Michael Ford on to the field. Why would anyone believe a rumor like this one?

It might get folks to talk about something other than Jordan Jefferson, and take some heat off of that young man. IMO. FWIW. YMMV

Heisman pub is the driving force here IMO. Imagaine how much of a big deal it would mean to the program and CFB in general if he actually won? Its a huge longshot being a CB and KR/PR, throw 2 offensive TDs in there and some big runs and its a legitimate argument. Cant do it without replicating Woodson and him playing offense. He had Michigans lone TD in their win to get to the Rose Bowl the year he won, it was basically his "Heisman moment"....

Not to mention coaches etc. can argue hes such a great playmaker that they just want to put the ball in his hands.

I think this is a bad idea.

We're winning games right now based on defense and special teams and PP is a huge reason why those two units are so successful.

If he gets in on offense, it won't be for more than 5 plays a game. With so few opportunities, it's unlikely even the awesomeness that is PP can make too much of an impact. But the extra responsibilities could add wear and tear to an athlete who already suffers from cramping. To potentially degrade an integral part of the succesful aspects of the team with no guarantee of offensive success to offset that degradation is shortsighted at best.

Keep PP on defense and special teams and keep those units locked down. Figure out a way to get the ball in the hands of the 5 star playmakers who already play offense. Put Lee in the game to see if he's better at this than Jefferson has proven thus far.

I have stuck with Miles throughout, though not blindly. However, this move (Peterson on offense) would, more than anything else, convince me that he really isn't up to the job. If he thinks he doesn't already have all the weapons he needs on offense (aside from a good QB) he really doesn't have a clue. If he's just pandering to the fans, he's hopeless. I, for one, hope he doesn't go this way, and I doubt that he will.

Yes, I think we should definitely add more risk to his getting hurt.....
he has been having problems with cramps or ??

has he not ?

how could he play more time ?

it would be a big risk.

I dont doubt he would be great out of the wildcat or that it makes sense offensively; IMO I just think him being a legitimate Heisman contender is a big factor in the equation. I just think there are other factors at play here outside of the offense. If they really wanted to run the wildcat they could easily do it with Shep, hes proven he can score if he gets the ball in space.

I'd absolutely love to see it, he would undoubtedly take one to the house if he got room and a block.

Maybe we do need PP at WR just to show the recievers how it is done.

Wide Reciever: So easy a caveman could do it.

Our 5* receivers aren't running crisp routes.
If at all, PP should be featured in the backfield, and as a decoy for 80% of those appearances.

IMO PP7 can take a game over. We should give him every opportunity to do so. If he can handle an extra few plays a game, and it would help this team, it's absolutely the right call.

Less touches for JJ, more for PP7/Shep/RR/Ridley

Terrible idea. They have enough skill position talent on offense. Unless PP is coming in to play QB, then he better not set foot on the field with the offense. Hell, he can't keep from cramping up playing defense and special teams already!

What a slap in the face that would be for the rest of the talent on offense.

Why would we want to use PP on O? We have plently of weapons on offense, but are not able to use them bc of QB play. He already cramps up too much anyway. Keep him on special teams and D. He will not bring that much to the O and just make things that much more confusing for our below average QBs.

If the other explosive athletes (that every national sports writer says we have)on O cant produce, why put PP7 in a position to get injured catching a 2 yard pass thrown high across the middle?

some of you guys are retarded

we have no creativity on offense, and everyone is going to bash the idea of putting the best athlete on the team on that side of the ball?

idiots.
