O did not meet with his coaching staff for 2 full days after the announcement...

Not even to coach LSU for Ole Miss game? Not to mention, be a stand-up man and communicate with your staff, as their families and livelihood depend on you?

Yikes! King Baw is a turd.

The school said last week that it will seek a new coach for 2022 after the season. Orgeron, who had not met with his coaching staff for at least the first two full days after the announcement of his departure, .. d

Is that the first time we have heard about the not meeting with the staff? How the hell are they supposed to prepare for a game? Just give the dude his 17M and get him out of here.

But it's revisionist history to say that should have been obvious in 2018.... And it's not like Burrow was great in 2018. He was good. He made some plays. But he was just an average QB in his first year at LSU. It's when Burrow full potential was unlocked by Brady implementing a modern offensive approach that LSU exploded.
correct. O and E basically wasted 2018, because they had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Helaire, and all of the OL. The offensive pieces were all there, but the 2018 offense was pedestrian.

Only when Brady came did it explode. If Brady doesn't come, 2019 probably would have been much like 2018.

I won’t say Orgeron getting the gift of Burrow, then presiding over the decline of a great program and collecting $16.8 million while watching it is as bad. But this Orgeron thing is crazy.

This is true

No he wasn't.

In fact, his last 4 games were stellar. I knew then he would break all LSU records in 2019.

Bitches argued for a year that Burrow was an average QB. Burrow made Brady, brady did not make Burrow.

but I know how I’d feel if I were in Burrow’s shoes, making nothing while this coach makes $17 million because his team went 15-0 in 2019

As if Burrow was going to trot out there with zero NFL WRs, or one of the best DCs in the nation, or a retooled offense that caught teams unaware, and still go 15-0? Burrow did his part, and he is now making bank because he did. Someone else put all the rest together.

That is the story of capitalism. An intern can rise to level of CEO, if he is capable. But the original CEO is still going to make his money, until the intern climbs the ladder to get his payday. Joe Burrow was an intern at both OSU and LSU, and didn't prove his worth until 2019.

Peter King is a communist, and should be ignored. Even if he is making a valid point. Because he has ulterior motives, even then. That's what communists do.

Does Peter king still blah blah about his fancy coffees? He's self righteous.

Also. Chasse, Burrow, Clyde and others were great. But, orgeron was the head coach. He gets credit from me for getting the team together and putting together a perfect season. He put that band together and they were fun to watch.

Joe looks like he knew he just made bank. But of course Peter King would be whiny about it since King will never smell the success Burrow had.

And anyone who believes that Orgeron didn't talk to his staff until Wednesday would believe anything.

He recruited Burrow, Chase, CEH, Jefferson, etc. Let an unknown Saints asst build his offense etc. He just got as the saying goes Fat and Lazy after ultimate success. Combine that with the green light to go after new poon and you have the results we have now. Saban on the other hand works twice as hard after winning.

Harder to stay on top the mountain than to climb there.
