Pete Golding has to be hurt by all the attention Lane is getting

With the attention on Lane from the Ole Miss fan base and them being as upset and violently angry as they are right now because Lane is not on their sidelines, it has to feel to Golding like they really don't want him, and you aren't as good as Lane. Now, he has to go out there and beat LSU and Lane, or else the focus shifts solely to the fact that you are not as good. Even the negative pub that Lane gets right now only serves to make him more famous and helps in recruiting.

Looking forward to the countdown of the end of his head coaching stint at Old Piss. The only question will be is it a slow torture or a bandaid?

No he loves it. Makes his job easier, he is able to create a message to his team for motivation. The amount of stuff that Kirby does to create a motivation tactic for Georgia is insane. In '22 that Georgia team literally believed they were being pissed on by media members because of things Kirby was able to do. Pete loves this.

Idk, the pressure isn’t off of him. The focus is, for now, but that will change bigly with a loss.

I like Golden. He is not a puss and openly admits he is still friends with Kiffin and thankful to him. Many coaches in his situation would not admit that. It may backfire on him a lot if they lose on Saturday, but he seems like a guy's guy.
