I've followed some behind the scenes of the Ole Miss program over the last 3 years or so and Lane put a TON of work into building the team culture up to where it is now.
He made it like a true family environment, and just a generally fun place to be. So yes, while the basketball goal thing seems dumb, clearly it worked.
