Everyone knew what we had in Fournette. The real question was the progression of Brandon Harris. Interestingly, the strength of our defense last year, the secondary, seems to be the weakness this season. The line play on both sides of the ball and the linebackers have been a great surprise. There are still some concerns with depth at various positions, but I think that this team can go toe to toe with anyone.

With regards to the schedule, we all knew that MSU could end up a dog fight. The real surprise was the flip-flop of Auburn and Florida. I'm pleasantly surprised with where LSU is right now. If they pass the test at Bama on Saturday, I don't see them losing any games in the regular season.

Actually, I think a lot of us on tRant had LSU at 7-0 going into this game. It was the rest of the November schedule where we had our doubts.

I actually thought that we would be 6-2 right now. I didn't think that we would beat MSU or Auburn. I was so wrong.

In August who had this LSU team @ #2 going into the Bama game?

I thought LSU would either be undefeated or have one loss (by either Miss.State, Auburn or Florida) going into the bama game.

But I did not think that we would be as high as #2 in the nation. More like #5 to 10.

I had us with one loss. But thought the back end would be harder than it will be. Call me crazy but I don't see lsu losing until 2017.

LSU was coming off an 8-5 year, so I had no reason to believe we would be undefeated going into the Bama game.

I had the TIgahs going 10-2 for the season, 7-1 up to this point (including McNeese win and a loss to either Miss State or Auburn).

I picked us to be 8-0 going into the Bama with the only concern being Auburn, turns out they were shite and UF was the test.

I thought we might have dropped a game, but I definitely had us top 10.

Not sure how Clemson is #1. I guess LSU takes that spot next Sunday.

They have the highest quality win. Just looking at resumes, Clemson has a good argument. LSU beats Bama, and I think LSU has a better one.

I expected us to be undefeated. But that being said I didn't expect Florida to be as strong

I said on here well before the first game they would be undefeated and ranked in the top 5 heading in to Bama. How much they improved in October and played in November would dictate how good or great the season would be.

I didn't.

Not I, This was always a team, for me, that was going to be really good this year, but great in 2016. But then I also did not see Fournette being the Superhero he's turned out to be this season...so all bets are now off.

Agreed...Beat Bama.

I wasn't thinking #2. Thought we may have a loss by now. It's good to be wrong.
