Followed the RB on the motion then turned to blitz at snap. QB thought he was covering the RB and turned his back. Never saw him coming til it was too late.

The closing speed is really insane.

And this only works if he does sometimes cover the RB.

The play toward the end of the game where he ran down the QB to force the 4th down shows how fast that man is.

X video is a perfect way to describe it, the way he went raw on the Auburn QB

This is the kind of disguising that we were doing by week 3 and 4 last year that has been absent up until now this season. The defense struggles so much with the basics and just knowing assignments that all of that got removed after game 1, which is terrible for the kind of defense House runs. You can’t play as much zone as we do without being able to disguise coverages and blitzes to confuse the QB.

This was a great play, and we need more of them. I also loved seeing Perkins make more plays in space last week and this week. He had a great stop for a loss at the sideline tonight and the pick last week. I know it’s taking time, but he’s starting to become more than just a pass rusher, and that’s great for this defense.

This. The people who say he should only rush the QB don’t get it.

I believe that was 4th down. Qb wanted nothing about #4 and pussed out.

That ashford kid always makes plays against us but does nothing against everyone else.

It’s beautiful to see him get after the QB from different spots in the defense

From me he does. But it was week 7 so there's still a reasonable argument that the slow start was at least partly due to an overly complicated scheme.

If you look back through my post history, I said this week's ago.

He really is our best Slot DB because of his ability to chase, as well as you can hide his blitzs.

He looked like he was shot out of a cannon. I didn’t have to look for the number 4. I knew who it was.
