Nah, some folks on here probably have actual baseball coaching experience or have watched the game long enough to see a weakness.

Struggling against State and UGA just before the start of post season simply doesn’t work for a long post season run.

If LSU makes it to Omaha I’ll be stunned.

And BTW, I’m not cracking on the players or coaches, it’s just baseball. It’s a different game where getting hot at the right time makes all the difference.

No, but some people can make an honest call on what the team is at the moment.

So saying this team is:
The worst team in the SEC
Dont deserve to even host a REGIONAL
Biggest collapse in LSU sports HISTORY (I shite you not, some1 actually said this last night)

Is an honest call on this team huh? I realize you’re not saying these things but they were 100% posted last night during a Conference game that LSU won on the road.

The pro Ed Orgeron retard squad are anti every current LSU coach. It’s a weird dynamic.

This is such a strange, strange take

And yet, there is more than a grain of truth here. It seems to me there are more than a few who decide that supporting their favorite coach seems to supersede supporting LSU. It seems they would prefer to be right vs LSU winning with the coach they have now.

It is not most, I would say, they just seem to be very vocal even when their logic seems ridiculous.

Exactly, so why all the doom & gloom? LSU is just as capable or actually more capable than ANY OTHER team in the Nation of getting hot & making a Championship run yet these so called “LSU Fans” are convinced that LSU cant/wont.

Just imagine a team thats:
1) Won 80% of their games
2) Won 18 SEC Games w/2 to go (w/1 less gm)
3) Still have a shot at EVERY preseason goal: SECC | Top 8 Seed | Host Reg/Super | Omaha | CWS Champs | Bang ALL da Bitches!
4) Held the #1 spot for 3/4 of the season
5) Virtually a lock to be a Top 8 Host
6) Has LSU’s GOAT Position player & Pitcher (arguably of course)

IMO 99% of CBB fans would give their left nut if their team could have just 1 season like this LSU teams season up to now. Yet we had a large contingent of tRant pussies on here saying that shite above.

Nope. Would much rather win. Pitching has just been so embarrassing.

Most of the negative posters are younger guys with little in the way of baseball knowledge. I’ll admit the bullpen makes me nervous as hell but this is a really good team overall. Baseball isn’t like football and that’s what kills some of these guys. They think if you lose a series you’re garbage and you are going to get hammered in the postseason. Two series losses in a row and the think it’s time to throw in the towel.

Baseball is a very difficult game. Going wire to wire is rare. Ask TN with all their talent the last 3 yrs. Teams get cold. Pitchers and hitters have slumps. As long as we keep amassing talent we will compete for championships.

They just set expectations through the sky for this team, and not unreasonably so, and of late they're playing far under those.

That's hard to cope with as a fan, and one of the most common ways to deal with it is to turn on them.

So they'll turn on the team out of frustration, and then come back when there's success. We all do it here and there

A good take.

As I have watched this team over the course of the season I often wondered if we were ahead of ourselves in the expectations for the performance of this team and a trip to Omaha. This is just the second year for Jay Johnson. It's not easy to deliver a National Championship in that time for any coach in any sport. Not that it can't be done, but it's not a likely outcome. With a MLB pitching coach, new talented arms, a strong group of players coming through the portal and a #1 recruiting class its easy to understand why we have high expectations. Unfortunately, the team has underperformed the talent level and the bullpen issues are obvious, frustrating and baffling. They might still pull it together and get on a post-season-run. It could happen. I just think it's an unlikely outcome purely based on the collapse we have seen over the last several weeks. Despite an offense that can put up double digit runs, we know that no lead is safe when the bullpen can't throw strikes. I don't know how to solve it. But I can certainly understand the fan frustration. It's hard to watch this team put up enough runs to win only to watch that erode into a loss. Without a deep and dependable bullpen a trip to Omaha is going to be a very challenging endeavor.

This is actually true. We always tend to rate our baseball team as either, we’re winning the whole show this year, or this team will be lucky to make it to a regional.
At the beginning of the year my thoughts were anything less than winning 2 games in Omaha would be a big disappointment on this season. With the pitching injuries I think you have to throttle that back now.

As popular as this message board is, it's still a very small representation of the fanbase. The sooner you stop taking what people say on here seriously, the better off you'll be. Watch and enjoy the games. Ignore this bullshite as best you can.
