size don’t matter, it’s how you use it.

It’s don’t matter when you are making plays on the back field!

You say that but I think he will start!

By all accounts Gooden has completely dominated camp. It’s not like we are hearing about flashes. Apparently he lives in the backfield. Sometimes guys are just elite athletes and prototypical size is not as important.
Also in the first extended interview I saw of him he just seems like such a great guy and teammate. I’m hoping he emerges as one of the leaders of the defense,

Buddy Songy said today that Gooden is now a verified 280+

I'm not concerned. I am old enough to remember when Jim Mora brought a bunch of guys from the USFL. I couldn't believe he wanted to start a 5'9" guy at interior LB but Sam Mills became an all-time great.
Maybe Gooden will be the Sam Mills of LSU's DL.

Not Worried… He’s a Disrupter !

Aaron Donald was 6’1, 280lbs, sometimes lighter. So size isn’t as big an obstacle as you might believe, considering the position.

I'm surprised more people aren't worried about his height at 6'1".
From an outlier standpoint, 268 (assuming that's right) is much farther off the charts than 6'1".

We have to stop comparing outliers to all time greats.

Arron Donald played at 6'1 and 280. Have a feeling gooden is going to live in the back field

Just wait until Gooden has an awesome year with great film and draft pundits drop him down the board because "his arms are too short".
