I've been saying for quite a while that Brad Davis the OL coach is NOT very good. Even when you start young players, they SHOULD improve. They aren't. As far as Sloan goes, wow! You finally call a quick screen type play and who is the recipient...one of the slowest players on the football team...Sharp the TE! If a fast guy had received that pass, he might still be running. Then the pass right before halftime was nonsense. IF Thomas? catches that ball on 3rd down, the clock runs out because you are out of TOs and you can't spike the ball on 4th down. And Kelly's explanation about why Berry only had 1 carry in the 2nd half was nonsense. He said that since A&M scored 2 TDs right after halftime, LSU had to change offensive strategy. Huh? Down 10 points with almost all the 2nd half to play...you can still run the ball.

Nuss sucks.
The backup made the best throw of the night on his first play. A throw Nuss simply can not make this year for whatever reason.
Nuss sucks bad and when you can’t get first downs, the whole teams suffers. Defense is always gassed. Whole thing stems from the garbage QB play.

Are you Nuss's cousin or something? If you can't see how bad Nuss is at reads, progressions and pocket awareness, oh and clock management, for a 5TH YEAR SENIOR, your words are worthless.
Agreed the play calling is suspect, but when your 5TH YEAR SENIOR starting QB can not execute a bowel movement, play calling is going to reflect that.

Here’s the deal
Kelly knows how to coach. He speaks well.
He understands what it takes to be great but he’s not doing it.
It ulitimately comes down to his leadership. He wants to hold his coordinators accountable but he isn’t doing it day to day. He’s
He’s just checked out. He’s not committed to the grind. He golfs a lot in the summer when he should be working.
He isn’t holding his coordinators accountable day to day but rather waits til gameday when the mistakes are already built into the plan.

It all starts with a QB that cant read a defense, is so unathletic he fell down trying to turn around on a snap under center, is zero threat to run and more times than not throws a shitty ball thats incomplete or goes to the other team.

Nuss doesn’t have the work ethic of Burrow or Daniels. We have a direct inside perspective with a child on the staff. Nuss is not a champion worker or leader (because he doesn’t lead by example). Agreed that Sloan is exactly what we’ve always known, an internal promotion of a guy with a bit of experience at LA Tech that Kelly could micromanage.

Berry got one carry in the 2nd half because we went from being up 4 to being down 17 in a matter of 6 minutes. With 19 minutes left in the game, we had no choice but to pass it. With zero protection and a non mobile QB, we were doomed.

I agree it’s Oline and OC problem. Defense also has a problem containing a running QB. We know it’s coming and can’t stop it.

at this point, you can't rule out injuries and star players just flat out quitting.
We have an everything problem, including Nuss not performing as we all know he can, and I believe it is because of injuries to his torso. But, now that he is better, he still has to deal with the pathetic play calls and Oline ineptness (and that is being kind)
Too many people always want to blame the QB and Nuss has had his moments of ineptitude, but if all the other problems were just 50%. better and Nuss' torso was healed, I think this would probably be a playoff team.
Sadly, with all the quitters on the team, I expect things to get a whole lot worse before the end of the season.
Then we start over, and if it is with the same HC and coaching staff, LSU will be in bottom of the SEC for probably the foreseeable future.
Our AD set this program back a long time, just like A&M, and it will take LSU the same amount of time to recover if we have a new AD and he makes a legitimate hire and staff. I don't see much hope for LSU until that process begins.

Most every pass as short route thrown more horizontally than vertically. Nothing downfield or over the middle. One run by a TB. Nothing to Green who disappeared after that obd great drive in the first quarter.

Agreed it’s multiple issues. Sloan is woefully awful as the OC and should have been let go weeks ago, along with Brad Davis.
The bottom line is the Brian Kelly era has been a failure and there’s nothing bright in the foreseeable future. It’s time to cut losses and go in another direction.
