In time he probably will get back to college.
Him screwing around on his wife is one thing. That’s his business. But he let his side piece completely ruin his focus on his job. That’s not who I think we need coaching our team. Y’all are mad at Paul because he got complacent a few years in after winning a championship. Andy got complacent in his second year after winning jack shite.

Why don’t you take a look at who Vandy lost to a couple years ago?

I know it's early and we can beat the midweek games to death that are meaningless but LSU is not on Vandy's level right now.

Except we are both currently 3-2

This doesn’t make sense to me since no SEC games have been played

LSU is stuck with a walk on lefty to complete the 35 man roster.

You realize there are reasons why that spot was open? A player decided to walk away from the team after he was given a suspension.

What happened to Cannizaro that was so bad to black ball him from college baseball? Someone could have hired him as an assistant to get him back in good graces.

Have you ever thought that no one else wants him, that’s why he hasn’t been hired as assistant somewhere

LSU baseball has become a speed bump in the SEC and a total yawn fest to watch.

Like basketball, it’s a get-by sport.

No you don’t. That’s just how you interpret it. The coaches have seen far more baseball than you ever will so it’s probably your own cluelessness as to our failures that you are projecting onto them.

Could folks possibly give these young men a chance? Most of the starters are new and will take a little time and "patience". It is far easier to criticize than to coach or play the game.

If you aren’t hitting .300 the day you step on campus then PM sucks and you’ll never hit above .300

It is a midweek game, but I think the appearance of complacency is the most debilitating thing to experience. In baseball, it's all about making the tournament and I believe it's difficult for us as fans to watch.

And, I agree with OP, if Paul fails this season, time for new blood.

You want to bring someone older in to replace a 60+ year old coach?

Weird.

I really believe it’ll happen after this year. The Box has been slowly becoming a grave yard . The crowds know good baseball when they see it and more importantly when they don’t. The league has passed us by. Surely Woody can write another big check for the best young coach in the country.

The fact that he’s changed the style of player he recruits and our approach to the game more than once to change with the game, no. He is not the Les Miles of baseball. Just because people say something and you repeat it doesn’t make it true.

Uber talented teams....same results, that's what makes it true.

Hold on here. Half of the fire Paul’s tells me he recruits shitty players and the other half is saying we only lose because of coaching. Which one is it so I know how to be mad.
