Yes. LSU is the only team to make a specific massive billboard of their past championships and to openly call it the Intimidator and to leave it up a decade beyond the last championship.
When it was still relevant maybe it gave the players an edge but now it’s just a reminder of the expectation which contrasts what the players do on the field lately.
Just retire it and switch to flags or banners like other teams.

If you don’t understand the difference between a small flag for each football championship and a massive billboard called the intimidator than I can’t help you.
You don’t think the Nichols players are laughing about how “intimidated” they are by an obnoxious sign touting something that players in their 40s and 50s did?

It’s not about giving the team an edge you loser. If you were an opponent, would you shake at the knees because you saw a billboard?

This x 1000. The intimidator now mocks this program as a relic of what once was.
Regarding Paul, it IS time to step down. When you replace legit coaches with former players who have no experience coaching, let alone coaching at this level, you’ve put the thing on cruise control. He has no fire and is lazy with his hires. Time to go.

LSU does not have a talent advantage. There is more parity in college baseball than any other sport. Fourteen different programs have won CWS titles in the past 20 years.
Mainieri is a good coach but he’s missed on some talent evaluations. It has been argued that his philosophy of building a roster was, at one time, tilted to much towards “small ball”.
Paul hasn’t forgotten how to coach, other programs have upped their game.

Agree you don’t lose to NICHOLLS! Fire Paul! Should of been done years ago. Absolutely embarrassing to keep losing mid week games. These guys on here who defend him are just getting done blowing Les Miles.

LSU in baseball feels a lot like Texas in football. A once-dominant blue blood program it still gets a lot of talent and creates preseason hype but never lives up to it through the season

Dude year after year we lose mid week games. How the hell are we ever going to host a super regional when you lose mid week games to in state little bitches.
