Dunno why people expected different, he is basically Les Miles baseball version

The fact that he’s changed the style of player he recruits and our approach to the game more than once to change with the game, no. He is not the Les Miles of baseball. Just because people say something and you repeat it doesn’t make it true.

It’s very clear from this post that you don’t actually follow the baseball team.

Correct.

If he did, he would know we lose those games, we still host regionals...

Then we lose the vast majority of those regionals to inferior teams, many from small conferences.

And the worst part is we lose them all the exact same way every single time.

People are really still trying to equate a single midweek game to a single football game

Do you see me bitching about the midweek loss? Or making a direct comparison to a football game? I'm talking about the overall feel of the program and specifically, the way the head coach is trending as compared to the football program during that time referenced.

All I can say is whenever we do get a new baseball coach, be prepared to be disappointed when we don’t win every single midweek game and we don’t play in Omaha every single year.

It’s not about giving the team an edge you loser. If you were an opponent, would you shake at the knees because you saw a billboard?

You do know that we literally call it "the Intimidator", right?

And nice job going right to an insult. Very mature and intelligent of you.

The most consistent one is the inability to manage the pitching staff during the game.

Leaving guys in too long or taking them out too early has been the obvious one going on almost a decade now.

Then there is the stupid base running at key times, and our inability to hit.

But the staff management has been the main killer.

Are you defending CPM? Wow. Hey dude Woodward won’t stand for this losing mid week games to inferior in state opponents. CPM better change his ways otherwise he could be canned mid season.

And so it begins...….The snowball just formed and will be rolling downhill soon.

Paul's time passed a few years ago. Way past time. (Like Nikki) Lame Duck season in 2020.

Here they come. Here come the Pump Lump "LSU Groupies" with their well worn litany of BS excuses.

"It's only the second week of the Season, there's 3 months left for them to get Better." "That's Baseball/It's just Baseball." "We'll be Fine." "Mid-Week games don't Matter." (Even program embarrassing loses to Nicholls Fricking State) "All Paul haters are miserable and negative Negatigers."

Many more in their big bag of mediocrity justifications.

Onward with the season now until the inevitable conclusion.

The Wal-Mart Tarp still looks awesome amid the sea of tacky ads.

BTW, in what warped world is it perfectly fine and acceptable for LSU to lose to freaking Nicholls State in baseball? (As the Sunshine Pukers will have you Believe)

In case you missed the news:

quote:

Sources: Mississippi State RHP JT Ginn, a possible top-10 pick in this summer's draft, is out indefinitely with a sore arm. He was a 1st round pick of the Dodgers in 2018. Ginn's velo has been down this month at 90-92 (from the usual 93-95) in preseason outings & his 2020 debut.

quote:

Ginn left a 2019 regionals start with shoulder discomfort, took the summer off and took it easy in the fall. The indefinite timetable has some scouts fearing the worst for Ginn, in a draft class very deep in general and particularly in college pitching.
