Saying MSST mustered just enough offense to beat us. Making excuses for the whole thing. We got outplayed in every aspect last night. Wish old Paul still had a little energy.

They smoked Hill. They were hitting him hard from the first inning just right at people. They mustered a lot more offense than us. In terms of hits, runs, and eye test.

Heard radio interview driving home. The one that seemed to be the worst excuse was that (paraphrasing) "we called a fastball first pitch expecting the guy to bunt" when referring to the 2-run bomb by the 7-hole lefty for MSU.
I'm not a baseball expert, but don't you throw your best pitches and make the guy bunt them even if you think he's going to maybe bunt??

MSST is just better than us. I don’t know any other way to put it. LSU is in the middle of the pack in the SEC. this is where we at with PM at the helm. It’s time for people to wake up. If you are good with LSU baseball being in the middle of the SEC then that’s on you. It’s time for a change. It’s time to bring in new life to the baseball program.

Go get Blake Dean and bring him home. He’s done a hell of a job at UNO considering what he’s had to work with. I know there are a lot of other high profile coaches out there we could hire but I like the guy.

And? He had a good start. Giving up 3 in 8 against state is just about as good of a start as you will get with Hill
