Ok Ok I get it. It's a PM lovefest. The man gets to just two NC appearances in 12 years and that makes LSU fans satisfied for life. Enjoy the regular season Tiger Fans, cuz the road to Omaha ain't happening.

Every coach you've named has been a train wreck so far. I don't think anyone is satisfied with where the team is right now, but everyone you've named is either retired or coaching high school because he fricked up royally.

No one I know is "satisfied" with anything less than a CWS appearance every year. BUT, to dismiss a HOF HC who makes us contenders in the SEC every year for someone with a lesser or at best equal resume makes no sense at all.

Since CPM took over LSU only 7 teams have more than 1 NC appearance. His 5 CWS appearances are tied for most in the nation since 2007, when he took over LSU.

Butch Thompson at Auburn will win a NC before long. He's someone I would like to see LSU go after. He's been a winner everywhere he's been and is only 48-49 years old.

I thought for sure he would take that Ms State job. I'm pretty sure it was his to turn down since he and Cohen coached together and because he's from Ms. I am also a little biased because Butch and I played baseball together at BSC.
