This isn't the first story I've heard regarding Coach Mainieri and his willingness to go out of his way to care for others. We are lucky to have a coach like that,

Since my last update, Dad has gotten a phone call and a text message from CPM. The phone call was last week, he told my mom to save his number (personal cell) and to please call if they needed anything. The he texted Monday and told Mom he was sending Cole Freeman to see dad because they had something for him. Well Kramer and Cole showed up tonight with some goodies for him. Plus we found out yesteday that Dad is on the ticket for the LSU vs Tulane game, which is pretty damn cool.
As far as his progress. He's doing great. They've been working on him standing up with the help of equipment and then trying to stand on his own. They haven't tried taking steps yet but they're very pleased with his progress. They told him yesterday that he'll be there at least through this month. Dad is excited about that because he's in great hands there, he doesn't feel comfortable with going home yet. We're hoping that after another month he'll be walking out of there.

Coach Mainieri talked about your dad tonight, explained his accident, why Cole and Kramer were leaving early and asked everyone to keep your dad in their prayers. That's so cool about your dad being on the Tulane ticket. Take care.

I'm not the biggest CPM fan, but this is a great gesture by him. Sorry to hear about your dad, hope he comes out on top of this
