I like the "You Suck" thing now the " You Suck Cock " was just meant for the South Carolina gamecocks. A little sense of humor can go a long way. 
Telling the Opponents "you suck" has been very effective imo. Its Harmless, Stick and stones, stick and stones people.

im sorry. i dont care what anyone thinks. this is football. it is a hostile, hard nosed sport. if saying "you suck" after a touchdown offends you, then you obviously need to find a new sport to watch or play. Football is not PC, and it should not be. Let kids have fun. the students talk way less shite than the players do ON THE FIELD. so next, lets cut out the shite talking on the field between players. Thats not right. Football is not a Bitch arse sport, but thats what some people want it to become. Yes, some shite goes too far and needs to be stopped, but saying "you suck", which like other posters have said, you learned as a kid,cannot be said; thats just stupid. Stop pussifying Football. If you cannot deal with it, then go watch some bowling or figure skating. Bash me all you want, which i know yall will because yall are way cooler than i will ever be because yall can talk shite on the internet, but stop trying to pussify football. I love the sport and especially LSU football. Most of yall would be acting the same way the students are today, stop acting like you are so much better. IT is fotball and if you cannot stop us, well then "You Suck".

I have no idea how this really caught on. I was at LSU before it started being used and I graduated recently.
I don't know how it happened, but the student section did seem to get dumber over the last several years I was there. I don't know what caused it, but the number of ignorant little fricks running around in the student section has vastly increased.
I personally didn't have a problem with the "you suck" thing other than the fact it is just dumb. The you suck cocks against USC was clever, but other than that most of the other stuff is just stupid.

how about this ... we old farts (and I'm one) had our run, let the students do whatever the hell they want. College is for KIDS, not for old farts relieving their college days. College students by definition are 18 to 21 year olds ... finding themselves, learning how to act, etc. I was a complete idiot at that age. As long as they're not doing anything criminal, illegal, or violent, how about easing up on the tired student section police act?

I think the band should stop playing after second down as well. And this is serious. The students have fricked it up by adding the "Whooo!" after each phrase. It sounds bad. Stop doing it.

LSU is ranked in the top 3 or 4 at the end of the season. There are upsets above them and LSU has a chance to get into the top 2 for the final game. The press says that they can't vote for a team where the students travel well and they have a song, that will be heard on national TV.
LSU gets voted #3 and loses a chance at a national title due to this song. Could it happen? As it is the press recognizes the LSU crowd as the most hostile in the country. That's called HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE, but it works against you when you want to get to the final game on another field.
Put LSU in the finals against any team with the possible exception of Notre Dame and they travel with more people, including students, than any team in the nation.
I want all you students who say that it is no longer our day to put up the millions of dollars the alumni put up. It may be your team, but we pay for it.

I actually completely agree. I get the feeling that it's more a matter of my sensibilities changing over the past 4 years rather than an actual decline of the student section.
