Peter Finney would have known that in 2006 LSU DIDN'T LOSE 9-10, WE LOST 3-7. YOU SHOULD BE SHOT FOR CONFUSING THE REF GAME WITH THE PAT GAME.

That this happened after a 9-10 loss at Auburn in 2004 from a bizarre PAT call didn't help matters one bit.
I understand some people like piped in music and some don't. But I'll never understand how anyone can stand listening to the same 10 seconds of Hell's Bells over and over again during the games. It's always *BOOOONG* *BOOONG* and then 2 seconds of guitar riff before fading out after a TV timeout. There's no way that anyone gets excited listening to that.

My first game being part of the band. Climbing those stairs after pregame was slightly uncomfortable

I was also in the band at this time, and I never experienced a more miserably hot game. This was the only time I ever cramped up during a game during my 4 years in Tiger Band. I'm pretty sure we emptied all of our water coolers within the first quarter, and these coolers would usually last throughout the game.
Last line in the video: "I wouldn't celebrate that!"

Edit: Damn, a minute too late!
I've heard they batter with crushed up corn flakes. Not sure if that's true, but that may be what's in the "secret mix."

Wholefoods definitely has the strawberry brew. I saw it there two days ago.
I preferred the old location. I guess the new one is nicer, but it didn't feel right to me for some reason. Food is the same, though.

It's awesome. I've been once, and I'm dying to go back.

There's a lot of talk about finding a "Michigan Man" who understands the school, the conference, the culture, etc. My question is, what the hell does this even mean? What's special/unique about Michigan that couldn't be said for any other big school? Other schools tend to do fine without alums as head coaches, so why do Michigan fans think they are special in this regard? This is a serious question.

re: Asheville Restaurants

I went to Asheville (actually, stayed in Weaverville) for my honeymoon as well. There are some good places downtown. The ones I remember are Havana, a Cuban restaurant, and S&W, which used to be a cafeteria but is now a nicer place ("S&W" now means "steak and wine").

S&W would be a better "romantic" place. When we went, we were one of about three tables there that night, although I think they had just reopened as a steak place when we were there, so they may be busier now. I would guess the Biltmore would have a nice dinner, but it would probably be vastly overpriced (although you should go to see the grounds/house and spend several hours there).

I would recommend putting together a list of places you'd like to eat, then just walk around downtown and see if something else catches your eye. There are plenty of options, and most of them are good.
Wrong board. This goes on "SEC Runts."

Mallet needs to go he sucks this loss is his and his alone.

His, and every receiver who couldn't fricking catch a ball that hit them square in the chest.
Tried to go to Perkins Rowe last night around 10:30 and everything was shut down. I guess it makes sense to close everything down on a Saturday night. :dunno:

I actually laughed when I saw the trailer for this film. There's no way I could take it seriously.

If you have a family.

Very under-appreciated movie.

I was just pointing out it was more than just the coach story, which many seem to still think it is (just the coach/improper benefits).

Exactly. All you have to do is read the report (which I did and mentioned on page 1) to know that this is a separate, albeit (relatively) minor, incident. There were people in the athletic department who made calls, thinking they were doing nothing wrong, but who were technically violating the NCAA rules. If you read the report, it all seems like minor stuff, but thousands of phone calls can't be ignored.
I'm skimming through the report, and it all seems to be minor stuff. The prohibited conversations/phone calls all look like they involved administrative type stuff, like applying for admission, getting a dorm room, getting high school transcripts from the school, scheduling official visits, etc. I understand the need for some of the rules, but none of this seems all that big of a deal.
Fiesta is going to suck arse. UConn v. Oklahoma? No thank you.
