"you suck" after oweeo is about as original and funny as the guy who still yells "like a lightbulb" after every damn verse of Rudolph the rednosed reindeer and thinks he is being clever.

We studied, mostly.

Back then youthful stupidity typically peaked in High School - usually sometime between our junior and senior year while on a spring break trip to Panama City.

Your generation is just a little delayed I guess.

Right because cursing at a game has everything to do with studying.

our current students need to get out more. They are cheesy and lame, and they are an embarrassment for the most part when it comes to stuff like this.

You want to uphold tradition and brag about tradition?? Subbing stupid phrases in like "you suck" isnt going to help. It will just kill it.

quit being so damn lame

OK... you totally misinterpret my aim. I'm not advocating to cut down on profanity and intensity. I'm campaigning for people to be a little freaking creative with their shite. I guess the budget cuts are really having an effect if LSU can't produce students that can come up with better shite than they've been producing.

Dude, when were you at LSU? I'm sure there was something similar going down at the time.

Ok...we didn't study ALL the time, sometimes we'd do volunteer work with the elderly.

Since at least 2006. I don't think the "you suck" was added until around the USC game in 2007.

I was a student when duke came to br with hurley laettner grant et al. We camped out and when the duke players pulled up we were calling leattner fig etc. He was laughing and it was all in good fun.

Feinswag and a few journalists ripped the students for that and i remember not understanding. Now im older and i understand.

Many years ago the University of Southern Mississippi Band would sing the most beautiful arrangement of "Dixie" after every game. For those of you who are to young to remember, the USM Golden Eagles were the "Southerners" until political correctness took over.

At the end of a game with Memphis a huge brawl broke out at mid-field. The coaches could not stop it. The police could not stop it. THE BAND STOOD UP AND STARTED TO SING DIXIE and both teams stopped fighting, faced the band and were almost silent.

When the song came to an end both teams went back to their sidelines and eventually walked off the field in peace.I saw this event with my own eyes so I know this story is true.

Go ahead and banish songs for the wrong reasons. Eventually they will become just a memory of the past. I watch the games from my living room at home. I wish I could be at the games but it is just not possible for me due to health reasons. I'm lucky if I get to see one game a year in person.

Punish the good for the bad, and make your supporters mad. It will all eventually coem back to bite you on the rear!
