Has Bianco ever shown an ability to be patient at the plate? He's in the game for one reason and one reason only, to play defense.

If Stevenson catches those two very catchable balls in LF yesterday then we are not even having this conversation right now.

DO you think we're losing something by starting Bianco over Stevenson? If so, what?

Stevenson is 2 for his last 20 with 12 strikeouts and he was lost in left field most of last night. He hasn't had many competitive at bats the past several weeks. Will it work? Maybe not, but if it doesn't are we any worse than if Stevenson was still there (assuming Dugas still can't play in the field)?

So you think Johnson knows all of this and is starting him expecting him to fail?
Are you shitting on Johnson or on Bianco here?

Stevenson had two very good at bats to get on base to start both rallies in this regional.

Even if Bianco is a dead spot in the lineup, with the talent out lineup possesses, it shouldn’t be an issue.

2 for 20 with competitive ABs thrown in is still better than the black hole Bianco provides. And I still think Stevenson is a better OF than what he showed yesterday.

Yeah i doubt this is a move being made for offensive purposes.

I too think stevenson is better than he was yesterday, but experience does matter sometimes

We seriously comparing Bianco to Morris? That’s where we are?

The real comparison is if Dugas is still hurt comes in and PH a HR to win the game.

Thats closer to Morris situation than someone who hardly plays playing LF.

I do too, but win or go home isn't the game to hope he figures it out. He looked completely lost yesterday as if he couldn't read the ball at all off the bat

Agreed but I know Bianco is a better outfielder than Stevenson showed yesterday.

Plus 4 BB, 5 HBP, 1 SAC

46 Plate appearance.

In those 46 PAs he has 4 RBIs and scored 12 runs. So he has been on base 14 times (no home runs) and scored 12 of those times.

About the same as the number of innings that USM pitcher had before last night?

Stevenson didn't look too sure reading the ball even on the ones he caught. I noticed that he was standing in the shadows yesterday to start the game. There had to be something throwing off his ability to read the ball off the bat. He's a better outfielder than that.
