Pearson can and will prob be upgraded

He has hit .229 the last two seasons combined & is a poor defender at multiple positions

If we go into next year relying on Kling and Pearson to make a jump, again, then we can probably start talking about Jay being a one hit wonder.

Which Pearson? Does the younger brother play outfield also?

I may be mistaken, but wasn't Larson kinda considered the backup first basemen? If Jones keep his year up, I'd assume he'll be gone.

I think you can pencil in Larson going forward but Pearson and Kling will have to earn those spots, no way to know what transfers and recruits end up on campus at this point. Kling is starting to make small strides.
Milam probably moves to SS and Pearson could be next man up at 2B but again he will have to earn it not knowing transfers/recruits that will show up

Braswell will be interesting as well, probably will still get drafted late and is he ready to start professional career and I'm guessing Jay will nudge him in that direction

Jones is definitely on draft radar but does he settle or does he want to improve his stock even more next year
Another year refining his game will give Jones a better chance to succeed in the dog days of minor league baseball

Brown will be given every chance to earn a starting roll next year. Jay loves the kid. Pearson is a good role player and one of those guys you want to keep around. He can be a Dugas or Beloso next year.

He has worked at 1B in scrimmages. I don't think he's gotten game action there, but I don't remember offhand.

He is listed as a 1B on the roster of his upcoming summer team in the Northwoods League though.

Yes, but he’s bigger and not as fast as his brothers.

Hopefully Kling is a role player only next year. Great sub late in game for defense so long as he doesn’t have to hit.

Kling's last 10 games (8 SEC games):

.300/.447/.500

9 hits, 6 of them doubles. 8 walks to 9 Ks. 2 steals.

He's hitting rockets right now. They aren't all falling for hits, but it's clear he's seeing the ball better and barreling it up better.

Where is young Pearson projected to play? Can he run enough to play outfield?

John Pearson will likely compete at 3b or 1b

Ain’t no “IF” about it. He’s long gone.
