I definitely don’t agree with anyone that says “lock him up and throw away the key” or some punishment along those lines that IMO would be way too severe for a 14-16 year old in these circumstances.

He can go to college at OSU

He just can’t go to college and play baseball, representing the university on a national stage.

Thats my stance.

Not sure about that. He went undrafted last year. I think teams might be staying away again.

There are stories of teams admitting they’re not drafting him.
He’ll get picked up, but he won’t make millions right away. But any south paw throwing 95 with control will get paid eventually.

frick this guy. Hope he suffers a career ending injury, gets depressed and then offs himself. There needs to be signs in the stands calling out this human piece of shite. OSU needs to be shamed.

Based on what? I really wish people would stop pulling this shite out of their arse.

At least two thirds of teams have taken him off their board completely. He is a senior with no leverage and the largest red flag we've seen since the draft was instituted.

He will be lucky to be drafted at all due to the ridiculous PR hit whoever drafts him will take. There will be an uphill fight at every level of the minor leagues for him, I mean what MILB affiliate is going to want him on their roster when all they have to sell is family atmosphere? If anyone does take him, they aren't going to pay him shite because they don't have to pay him shite.

I hope that's the case. It's one thing to make a mistake, drugs, petty thief, DWI, repent, and go on to redeem yourself.

This guy appears to be mentally ill.

I disagree. He was draft eligible last year and didn’t get a call.

I don’t see mlb teams wanting that type of publicity.

If we're talking about two kids playing doctor and he was 6 or 7, maybe. A teenager with a 4 year old? Not so much.

What the hell are you talking about? We have a history in this country of professional sports franchises drafting individuals who have committed assault and other serious felonies.

Nothing is being pulled out of anyone's arse except history.

I still can't see a MLB team drafting him at all.
Fulton has been suspended for basically two years on the football team and this guy missed the CWS.

Sickening that this pervert is still allowed to play college ball. 15 year old molesting a 4 year old. That is some sick shite.

When was the last time a convicted child molester was taken in the MLB draft given a $1MM+ signing bonus?

This is an unprecedented occurrence. If you aren't familiar with the word, it means it hasn't happened before. Which means there is no history to pull from. The only thing to look at are the current circumstances. Given the current circumstances, anyone saying this kid will get $1MM+ signing bonus is pulling shite out of their arse.

It’s better to take a deal than lose a he said she said and get a worse sentence

This is sort of how the criminal justice system is moving now. Lots more plea deals.

But he probably did it.

yeah but as pointed out in the article, there were better routes to take. My guess is they had a pretty damn good case against him and he got the plea due to his age

this seems like spin years later.

Right, I can no longer deal with this thread either. I'm going to force myself to stay out of this one from this point forward.

They also may not have been an option in the plea deal.

But like I said He probably did it.
