Etling is garbage. Injury or not. I’d take Anthony Jennings or Marcus Randall over him. Maybe even Hatch.
Thanks, now I know not to waste any time reading any of your future posts.

First dumbass of the thread.

Well etling is gonna be the starter the rest of the year barring injury. He will continue to have the qb runs called so he may go down. With the end Arounds and power runs with the backs along with qb runs we may actually move the ball some. So if etling can just improve a little passing the ball maybe we won't be too bad on offense.

Bigger question is , is he still hurt???

Injured players being selfish isn’t something to be admired. I know the tough guy image is glorified in football and even in American culture in general, but your selfishness is hurting your team and that is the opposite of leadership.
Etling is a tough kid, but people knighting for him are being a bit ridiculous. It’s not like he provided anything of value in that game. His biggest gainer should have been a clean int save for a tough/smart play by Chark.

I do remember after the first series the announcers said he was limping off the field and that he looked hurt

If I am an opposing team, I would tackle him softly so he will stay in the game. He is the biggest weakness on the team, so I would work hard to keep him healthy.

Seriously? Now a coach complementing a player is evidence of lack of acumen?
Man, don't hang on every word they say in a presser. It is not the fan version of a position group meeting.
There is a mic there. The coach is expected to say words into it. Miles chose to say indecipherable gibberish. That is looking more and more intelligent at this point!
O, and most coaches, choose to say things that have a structure that resembles real information, but it isn't.
He tried to say something nice about his QB who struggled in the game. How is that bad?

No. Just stop.

The kid is tough, but I thought the hernia was why his passing stats were subpar last year.
LSU fans need to face facts. He's not a good passer. The light is not going to all of a sudden come on. He is what he is.
LSU needs a fricking passer. You know the main component of playing the position passed the 1970s.
The QB position has been an epic fail for the past 10-12 years minus one or two seasons.

Maybe this isn’t the best example, but a lot of things seem to go on without O knowing.

Ok. Well that explains everything.
Which makes this an awfully convenient thing for Orgeron to say.
Takes any heat off of Etling in the QB debate this week, regardless of the validity or extent of this injury.

You sound just like the pussies on this team.
You can talk about his toughness all you want, he is not a good qb, and he was without a doubt a major liability in the UF game.

I'm concerned about the positive reviews Orgeron is making about Etling. If that's really how he feels about him, then I think he's missing some problems with Etling's play that we're seeing these past 2 weeks that we hadn't seen before.
Make sure you are over at the practice field around 3:30 today. The coaches need to hear from you directly.

That game is a blowout if we had a serviceable QB.
