The coaches don’t even hold the players accountable to reviewing game film. They need all the help they can get. That Florida win was fools gold.

Takes any heat off of Etling in the QB debate this week, regardless of the validity or extent of this injury.

No it sure doesn't and I don't think that was his intention. I think he is strictly speaking to his toughness, which certainly should not be in question after the UF game. The boy misses some throws and has a ton of trouble making a play outside the pocket, but he is tough as nails. Showed some great leadership out there.

Etling is garbage. Injury or not. I’d take Anthony Jennings or Marcus Randall over him. Maybe even Hatch.

What a dumba$$ thing to think.....much less actualy say it in public.

Those guys were bad, but Etling is sitting in the same category

Did he hurt his arm or something? He seemed to run the ball just fine.

Really? First I've heard of this. Do you have a link or quote?

Y'all know y'all can praise him on his toughness without saying he sucks. I wish there were 21 other guys out there that would fight to stay on the field even if they could barely walk. I like toughness and heart.

Yes, we all saw the game, he didn't throw the ball well at all. At least give him props on being a tough SOB.

Indeed one of the worst if not the worst internet fan base - anybody ask the question as to how DE's doing? Nope, most here would only care if it were an injury that keeps him from playing. I'm guessing most here never playd football past JR high and have no clue as to the physicality of playing QB - most defenseless position on the field. We have a guy that understands our True Frosh QB would likely get murdered and possibly screw up his longer term college career if thrown to the wolves - not to mention that MB has looked every bit the freshman when he did see the field. I'm surprised this board allows this type of nasty posts to stick - Etling has shown his grit to help the team with some tough scrambles and playing tough. And you guys slam him. I'm sure if Etling felt he couldn't continue taking snaps he would've told the coaches. Sad commentary.

Etling has got to come out and say those things.
He could've gotten injured worse or couldve possibly lost the game for us.

Lol. I would never want a QB who takes himself out of the game after the first snap just to be on the safe side.

The OL sacked its own QB?

I don't think his toughness was ever in question, but suggesting he was injured for the entire UF game is a nice excuse if/when people question who should be playing QB after that game.

I'm sure it's true to some extent, but whether it was Orgeron's intention or not, it's convenient to bring up as well.

21 other tough guys like Etling with his skill level would have been crushed by UF.

Etling can be a tough QB and a poor QB at the same time.

You sound like the females we all see who enjoy dressing nice for games and often struggle with player names and which side of the ball they play on.

Once more, eat a dick pal.

I agree with this. If you take his 2 sacks out that count against his rush total, he had 7 carries for 37 yards (5.3 ypc). 3 runs were for 1st downs and 3 carries he took on 2 tacklers.

It was a bad passing game by him. No doubt. But, he's putting his body on the line for the team.

Didn't he lose the starting role at Perdue because of an injury ?

Maybe he thinks history will repeat if Brennan gets that chance

So that makes you miss easy throws?

And he plays the whole game, then questioned on why he can't hit a seam route, he says "oh yeah coach, forgot to tell you, I was hurt"?.

WTF, bench his arse
