Yea it was very evident he was trying to keep the locker room and QB room as unified as possible. It didn't work out, but I get why he said it.

That press conference when he said we comin and we aint backing down was powerful. He went to work and talked to many old coaches about his strategy going forward. The results are in. Be knows what it takes to be a contender. So proud of coach O and how he represents our fine university

The fact that he is CoonAss as Hell makes a lot of people, other teams, and coaches think he lacks intelligence but make no mistake that is One Sharp Dude that knows what he is doing!

Giles was crap in that offense but I like to think he could have been a contributor in 2019’s offense. A slot guy.

you kind of have to treat QBs differently.

Yea, Coaches will say what they think is necessary when trying to keep a quarterback room healthy. 3 young QB when Burrow came in and 2 transfer. that really messes with the depth which was not good if there are any injuries.

Damn Lester u sure win the 2020 popularity contest by a mile

Out of 1110 plays last year, Ensminger didn’t call 183 plays

Joe Brady was 91/183 or 50% on 3rd Downs

LSU was 4th in NCAA on 3rd Dn conversions at 50%

OSU was Best at 55%

Ensminger called 927 plays.

Lester, trust that Ensminger knows the Sean Payton Saints Template like the back of his fkn hand

Ensminger had a very rough time with personnel in 2018.

By keeping E as a integral part, an integral part of the best offense ever seen in college football history, playing the toughest schedule as well..........complimenting an integral part of that makes you cringe?

I am more talking about O's actions surrounding the offense

in 2019 Brady was ushered in and completely changed the offense and personnel packages and obviously you saw the benefits

Between now and then, Ensminger is pimped as the true genius behind the offense.

...yet Orgeron goes and signs Scott Linehan for $800k. He is the highest paid non-coordinator in college football....and was paid the same amount as Ensminger at the time he was hired.

It's very clear he does not actually trust Ensminger to run the offense. So yea its cringey when he says other wise

Ensminger had a very rough time with personnel in 2018.

We were 13/14 in returning productivity in the SEC and 112th in the NCAA. That was compounded with rotating OL due to injuries and Burrow not showing up until the summer. Those numbers reversed in the 2019 season with us being near the top of the SEC and NCAA in returning productivity. It's a good predicter of success.

Yet they still put up 30+ on UGA and showed significant improvement towards the end of the season and finished #6 in the nation.

It was also the first season for Cregg implementing a new blocking scheme.

I think it's fair to criticize or be skeptical of SE, but you have to look at all variables when assessing his coaching in 2018.

I think these were definitely issues, but this wasn't the difference in Joe Burrow being a 57% passer in 2018 vs the best college football season in history in 2019.

1. System
2. Playcalling
3. Personnel

were all inconsistent to bad in 2018.

Why does what he makes matter? If he was Joe Brady Jr and got 140k, would that be better?
