What LSU football have you followed?

The same as you. If it's been so entertaining why do people not show up or only stay for part of the game?
You enjoy watching running backs run into a stacked box down after down and then heave the ball downfield on a prayer?

The LSU team lost more games in 2017 and then we did in 2015.

Way to cherry pick. We also lost more games and won less in 2014 than 2017.
People bitch about the Miss State game last year well, we played as bad in 2014 at home in Tiger Stadium. Only Dan Mullen's stupidity made that game close.
LSU's problem are not new and they were growing in Miles' last years.

Yeah he did.
Oregon and Auburn played in the 2010 NCG.
LSU played both in 2011

This is such bullshite.

No it's not.
Between attrition, some recruiting misses and poor roster management, the overall depth of the team is nowhere near what it should be particularly in the trenches. Now we have deficits at corner and running back. Orgeron shares the blame for the latter.

He makes like 800k less.

Which is insane considering Les won 100 games and a NC.

Absolutely agree. Other teams start freshmen QBs and do well; I reject this "several years to break in" bullshite. Time to put up or shut up this year. The defense is stacked; best and highest-paid d-coordinator in college football; tons of WR talent (4 and 5 star); highly recruited QBs. No excuses.

Or it’s failure. Les was fired because he could no longer do it, and now Alleva should be fired if Orgeron can’t do it. The new AD should make the call on Orgeron.

Fresh take...thx for sharing!!!!

In 2015 LSU averaged 102,000+ To be ranked fourth nationally in attendance.

“People bitch about the Missi State game last year.”

It was the worst loss against Mississippi State in series history. Seems those people had every right to bitch.

“Miles last years”

Never included a loss to a non-power five school or to a SBC team. Never included a loss to an average Mississippi State team by 30 points. In miles last five years he won more games at LSU then Nick did in his five years.

No one denies that Miles hadn’t plateaued at a level that wasn’t acceptable for LSU football. But to act like it was a terrible time for LSU football or that it had no excitement is just ridiculous. And it appears that LSU football has even declined since September 2016.

Be careful what you ask for.

So why we are paying a coach much less and expect more wins?

Because we along with everyone else knew he sucked before we hired him. It still boggles my mind that he is the coach no matter the pay. We need to run him TODAY and not waste more time to see if he sucks when we knew it when we hired him.

It was time for Miles to go. Most reasonable fans assumed the replacement would be a top-flight coach ... not Ed Orgeron. I am certainly willing to see how we do this year and I will root 100% for the Tigers. I hope we go undefeated and win the NC.

What sticks in my craw though is my perception (and I may be wrong) that Orgeron was plotting to be HC from the day he was hired as d-line coach. Did he sabotage Miles? IDK, just asking. Why was it a foregone conclusion that he, (a position coach) and not Aranda (the highly paid, highly-thought of COORDINATOR) would get the interim coach position? THAT is where the mistake was made. ARANDA should've been named interim HC. We are paying all this money to hang onto Aranda (whom other schools have pursued) while we have a HC that literally NO OTHER school would want as their HC. Bass ackwards.

.
.
he went 8-5 in 2015 and almost got fired and then things suddenly really turned bad at the end where he had just won 4 of his most recent 9 games not to mention had been getting killed in the SEC games going 12-10 in his last 22 sec games.

it had become a terrible time with no excitement.

OP just plain dumb! I certainly hope we go 10-2 but that is not likely. Considering how much needs to be replaced offensively I would be happy with a 8 win season. Defense will give this team a chance beyond that

do we even know if he wants to be a HC? He really hasn't pursued any HC jobs as far as has been reported.

or that it had no excitement is just ridiculous.

There were moments certainly....but taken as a whole, it was painful as hell to watch our offense and you should know that.....unless you're a sadistic SOB who enjoy being smashed in the nuts with a sledge hammer.
