There will be plenty of excuses. O could go 0-8 in the SEC and some on here would be blaming everyone and everything else but O.

So why we are paying a coach much less and expect more wins?

Because Alleva is the only AD in the world that would hire O.

And hire him on the premise that he would get the best assistants and let them coach.

That was the plan. Save cash on HC and spend it on guys like I don’t know SE who hasn’t been a full time OC this century!

Don’t you love it when a plan comes together? We coming.

O just gets unfair criticism. Since reading this board I've learned that he's not responsible for the gameday execution of our plays, he's not responsible for the hires he made, he's not responsible for recruiting, and he's helpless in getting his team in better condition bc bama is cheating.

I feel bad for him after learning all this. im optimistic though bc I read where Ree has posted repeatedly that Clemson also has signed classes ranked between 11 and 16 recently so we should be ok bc Eaux is a tactical mastermind. If dabo can do it so can Eaux. He's just gotta overcome all the cheating everyone else is doing and pray that better players start wanting to come here.

Or it’s failure when LSU goes into a rematch on January 09, 2012 and get its a-hole drilled like a cheap slut!!!!

Yeah it really makes me laugh at the fools who think O is clean as a whistle in running a program while everyone else cheats. Every big time program cheats, some just do it better than others.

I can't imagine how the poor guy must feel having no control over how his program evolves or performs. It makes you realize how fortunate guys like Saban, Meyer, and even Lincoln Riley was lucky in his first year. Smart at UGA lucked into all those 5 stars wanting to play at Georgia. Let's hope and pray Eaux has better luck this year

“ zero entertainment value”

What LSU football have you followed? I ask cause 2000-2016 or even 2005-2015 has been the most exciting, successful period of LSU football that I have ever known. From 2005-2015, LSU won more football games overall than any other SEC program.

This is just me, but I am thinking most programs would be pretty excited by that kinda success.

The LSU O scored more pts and gained more yds in 2015 than we did in 2017. The LSU team lost more games in 2017 and then we did in 2015. Be careful what you wish for.

The change was made 4 games into the 2016 season because we had not been competitive in the SEC West race since 2011. 21 games later and we still haven’t been competitive in the SEC West race and it appears that will continue Through 2018.

O isn't going 10-2 this unless one of the quarterbacks morphs into Tom Brady. Like it or not, he is in the middle of rebuilding the roster. He needs to have a good enough season to keep the best Louisiana players at home this recruiting cycle and to find a legitimate SEC talented quarterback.

This is such bullshite.

Absolutely fricking not until Alleva is long gone. I don't want that shite smear anywhere near any possible future LSU coaching searches. I'll give him credit for WW, but he'd have to make 5 hires of that caliber to make up for how he conducted the football "hire."

It's not possible for LSU to finish 10-2 this year.

Guaranteed losses:

Alabama
Georgia
Auburn

Toss up games:

Miami
Mississippi State

LSU will finish 9-3 at best.

I'm gonna get roasted for this, but I put A&M and Florida in the toss-up (aka, likely loss) category as well.

I can't imagine O surviving if worst case scenario happens and we have losses to Bama, UGA, AU, State, A&M, Florida, and Miami. I know that's an extreme possibility, but I don't see us being favored in any of those games.

This season is going to be a sobering gut-check for us, I'm afraid.

wrong. That is completely stupid. Les was fired bc he refused to fix his embarrassingly horrid offense.

what a stupid post !
O will not be fired with an 8-5 season..next year is a different story... certainly for not going 10-2
I would put money on that.

GROW UP !
