Why would Corbin leave Vandy???? They are the new LSU
And Vitello isn't leaving Tennessee for us. We all want him to, but they're about to invest massively and it will be the house Tony (and Drew Gilbert) built

We can still start a rumor that he'e a done deal to LSU before Super Regionals start.

I know, but now he wants 3+ million.

All smoke - Woodward is not dumb

For $3M, I suppose Corbin may come. That's some serious jack for a baseball coach.

I really hope it's McDonell.
After that, Corbin would be fine with me.
If it's Casey, I will still cheer for the players but it will be hard to really support him as a manager/coach after the crap that went down at Oregon State. I don't want him anywhere near my university. :(

McDonnell has been less successful than Van Horn. Get me Van Horn. He knows La. he would be better than Corbin who has NEVER run a major program at a public university
Van Horn is the most impossible pluck in college baseball. Yes, even more than Tim Corbin. Horn the only guy I would put above Dan McDonnell as a sure thing. And Dan is begging to leave.

I had a source that has been money tell me the same yesterday. Word is that Woodward has been given the green light from the money people to shell out 3.5 million to get Corbin.
The advantage to Vandy on scholarships may be coming to an end. The NCAA is considering full allocation for baseball at the 25 scholarship limit.
Corbin makes 2.4 million currently so it would take a sizable increase to move him.

Private university has more lee way - why leave that?

If you wanted Corbin why leak that out?
This could be to throw the scent off other candidates or LSU putting it out there to say “hey, we tried getting Corbin” to show we tried getting the best.
Corbin’s not leaving Vandy. Way too many advantages there with how they’re able to offer players. Some will say Schnoss left a private university at TCU to go to A&M but Corbin’s situation is a little different. Over the last decade it’s been Vandy and Florida.

Seeing that and 3.5 being thrown around makes me want more and more Blake Dean at 300k that we can easily raise if he succeeds

if you’re not paying a significant amount with your donor money you shouldn’t care how much we pay a two-time national title coach. i just want this thing to be over with. it’s getting exhausting with every single angle
