ESPN and other media sites are pushing Alabama to keep the $$ flowing and allow Bama in if there are any missteps. However, if Oregon wins out they’re 100% in:

Oregon’s AD heads the playoff committee. Bias aside, how in the hell are you going to convince west coast teams to schedule P5 teams when you punish them. This man will not allow his team to be shafted for challenging themselves. He will not reward Bama for beating Duke.

If someone else stumbles, Bama is in. PAC Champ Oregon is 100% In though.

They recuse themselves when their teams are being discussed.

he "leaves" the room when they talk Oregon.

I agree with Brando, there are way too many teams undefeated that are ranked behind two loss teams. The rankings make no sense right now.

Mulligan '11 only happened because the playoff push was in full effect and that opportunity presented itself to piss off the other conferences and get it pushed through. If you start hearing talk about expanding to 6 or 8 teams every week in the media, get worried

My gut tells me that bama will be 4 or 5 FOR NOW just to pacify them but a one loss conference champion will surpass them at the end of the regular season.

If they win out and don't get in, it would be the ultimate verification that you SHOULD schedule cupcakes

Minnesota should be 4th. They’re undefeated with a top 5 win.

What more are they supposed to do?

Bama getting into the playoffs will be bad for college football since it only encourages scheduling cupcakes and avoiding difficult matchups.

Frankly if Utah wins out, they should get the nod over Bama as well.

Oregon, Utah, Oklahoma, and Baylor would all be #4 if they win out.

What if Georgia barley beats LSU in the sec championship game? Oregon or LSU in? Assuming OS and Clemson win out. JS

I agree and it would make sense because that conference champ will have improved their resume between then and now.

Then it’s tOSU, Clemson, UGA, and PAC/Big12 champ.

A 1 loss Conference champ is getting in over Bama.

Bama's best win will be against a 4 loss AU team that will be in the low teens or 20s.

Oregon lost to Auburn > Bama win over Duke

Obviously this is my opinion...Oregon at least tries to schedule hard teams...Auburn was slated to be top 2 team in the West before season...Duke has never been slated to the top of anything in football in many many years if any

False. LSU would still have the best resume of all of those teams, even with a loss, and would get in over the other teams unless Baylor remains undefeated.

Using that kind of reasoning makes us no better than Bama. Lose your conference championship, no playoff.
