I don’t see how you keep Pearson’s bat out of the lineup if he makes it to campus. Idk if he will be in the OF or DH, but he will start.

Pitching is going to be key. While I like our young arms, we really need some vets to bridge the gap while they get a little more hair on their chest.

I don’t know anything about the incoming freshman but we desperately needed a DH all year so that spot is wide open.

Pearson’s hitting .367 with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, 3 walks, and 3 HBP in Florida collegiate wood bat league after 8 games. He’s scored 11 times in 8 games. Gotta think he can do better than 1 hit in the entire postseason when you put a big barrel in his hand.

He and Stevenson will both get a look for early playing time. Catcher, 2B, and DH will also get looks for early playing time.

As I said earlier, I hope we try Dugas at 2B. That opens up a spot for Pearson in LF.

What makes you think Dugas will be back? He hit 19 homers this year. He’s almost certainly going to be drafted

I think the question is will Dugas get drafted high enough to leave now or return and improve his stock.
His future at the next level is unlikely to be in the OF. He's suggesting give him a shot at 2B and let him demonstrate he's a capable IF.

I guess this would be a shot at the coaching staff but if Dugas’ future is 2nd base and we had a ton of problems finding an every day 2nd baseman all year why the hell didn’t he play 2nd base?
