Yeah, but for teams that wont make the playoff, a years end ranking can have value to the fans. If the polls are under ranking LSU because they don't like that Brian Kelly left Notre Dame, then that's a problem.

In '98 Tuck Fulane went undefeated and their fans(all 6) talked shite, Herb Tyler and Kevin Faulk would've put hung 80 on them.

LSU has been ranked in the top 20 most of my adult life I’m just going to enjoy Tulane being good for the first time since I was 7 years old

Tulane is still LSU’s rival. They tried to end the success of LSU’s program by poisoning the N.O. high school scene with lies about LSU. Well guess what? Tulane took their shot at the King and failed but at the first sign of success, they want to talk trash? Not gonna play along.
