It's called being a go to player. She has the most complete offensive game on this team. Mikaylah can do everything Gilbert can except at the rim finishing.

If this team wants to win, I think Gilbert has to become someone we look for on offense more and Flaujae needs to dig into being the defensive stopper on this team and get her point organically. That feels like when this team is at its best.

She is usually the spark when we need points. She is quick and very athletic.

And has ice water in her veins.

Having KG and FlauJae is almost unfair at the of a game.

I think the only thing keeping her off the court is lack of intensity on d sometimes. Other than that I don’t understand why she isn’t a starter

Gilbert's GW shot should absolutely be the story of the night on this board but....

I've seen her pass the ball plenty this year, but when you're on, and the rest of your teammates are missing layups, sometimes you just have to keep the ball and do it yourself.

I didn't like the last play, at all, except for the result, because no one was moving. She really didn't have a choice but to shoot it, as it appeared the play was designed to have four spectators watching the Gilbert show. It resulted in a wild shot, that fortunately went in.

I didn't come away from that game feeling like anyone was a ball hog. I came away wondering how LSU is going to handle top 10 teams, if they continue to fall apart for long stretches in a game. They have all the ability in the world, and it shows when they get out to huge leads. But then come the turnovers and total lack of focus on the defensive end. I want to believe that they will just always play to the moment, no matter who they're up against, and will turn it on as needed. Because if not, and we continue to see the trend of collapsing for long stretches, they're going to struggle to go anywhere in March. And yes, I know that basketball is a game of runs. I'm not concerned about runs. I'm concerned about how they are happening.

Down voters having a problem with an honest opinion. What else is new?

Gilbert has really good body control considering she often is navigating through much bigger players underneath. Usually does a pretty good job finding that hole in the canopy to get the shot off

That she does. Johnson can finish at difficult angles at times with her body control (she missed several layups in this game), but Gilbert is the most consistent guard at finishing around the rim, and is really the only one who seems to be able to dribble penetrate. Johnson usually only gets there when there is a breakdown defensively, or if she's on a run out. Same with Williams, though Johnson is the better of those two. Gilbert's ability to create a shot from almost anywhere is incredibly important.

That last shot was not pretty, but I'll take it.

Wish had forwards that were more of an aggressive ball hog but they scared to go out there, se'miah smith, Jersey and the 6ft6 center. But cant always have it perfect can ya? Well i mean some ppl wanted angel gone for whatever reason and now she no longer at Lsu the ladies filling in this yr are not getting it done. Its all guards doing all the work.

This team has some really good players. They are coming together. I did not have a good feeling about this game but CKM is the goat.
