Ole Miss offensive takeaways

Even without lane, chambliss is still a helluva qb. Started off pretty bad but was throwing strikes all 2nd half. He’s a tough fricking kid to get down tackling him in space and keeping him in the pocket and not breaking contain needs to be a huge point of emphasis
Their run game didn’t look as explosive without lane. Lacey had some solid runs before the went out but not the breakaway long ones he was hitting consistently with lane
Deuce Alexander is an absolute dude at wr. He can flat out fly and has strong hands. That needs to be Dj Pickett’s assignment
Their o line is nothing special. Louisville got pressure a lot but their not an athletic front we are a much more athletic front we should have more success finding on chambliss when we get our chances.

Yep. It’s almost impossible for a defensive player to get his hands on Chambliss once he starts scrambling. Going to be a major point of emphasis in trying to limit his running ability.

My takeaway.
Ole Miss will have played two “slower” defensive teams before us. There is a huge speed difference between LSU and Louisville. Massive to be exact.

They play Charlotte next, a team that went 1-11 last season. I watch a little of them yesterday. They are really bad.

Baker really struggles with mobile and uptempo, but we should not struggle with Ole Miss this year. They can't run the ball and our DB's and pass rush are much better than Louisville

And this is Chambliss’s struggle if there is one as well. Let him sit in the pocket and he’ll tear you apart. But make him make quick decisions with pressure and we can get to him.

Baker really has a good combination of talent and depth, with this team. Last night, so many of his calls, were perfectly executed!

I like Chambliss. Wanted him at LSU, but Leavitt is a beast so it all worked out anyway. However, this is not the same defense he played last year.
A fully healthy Whit Weeks and lightning quick Dottery will change his tune.
Two pass rushers who actually get to the QB in Princewell and Ross are starting this year.
Did you see how Miami held him in check last year?
This game vs LSU might honestly end up being the 2nd worst game he plays at Ole Miss.

We have their former coach who recruited all of them as well as their best two defensive players that saw them in practice everyday. Thats a fricking huge advantage no one talks about. Bellicheck won what 5 or 6 super bowls by knowing this. About 2 to 3 weeks before every NFL game he added a player or two from the team he was playing to the practice squad. For decades

He seems to be a one man team. His issue is the man that created the offense around him is now the man going up against him.
Ole Miss secondary is terrible and their run defense isn’t great. Once they had to stop the pass, they struggled with the run.
Chambliss will need to be better than Cam Newton for ole Miss to not have 4 losses (LSU, Texas, Oklahoma & Georgia). They also have Missouri Florida Auburn
Ole Miss may lose 5 or 6 games this year.

Chambliss is dangerous.
Their secondary didn't impress me particularly when the QB on the opposing team was making his first start.
Lacey is dangerous as well but I feel good going into this game.
Not saying it'll be a cakewalk, Chambliss is very dangerous when he gets pressured and runs but if LSU plays like they played last night, I feel good.

Will be curious to here what's the issue with Lacy's knee whether its just a bruise or more serious.
