TAF has now teamed up with Bayou Traditions so NIL donors will now get priority points on NIL donations.

A big problem is that most @ $100 month donors will not have enough charitable contributions to write $1,200.00 off. This results in the $100 a month being after tax money. The big money can write off as business advertising expenses against income without regard to charitable vs standard deduction considerations.

If Bayou Traditions can give the @$100 a month some publicity so the $100 a month can be paid with pretax business expense there are probably lots of insurance agents, salespeople, etc who could justify $100 a month as business expense.

yeah, giving 17 year old kids hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions a year, with the lack of loyalty they have these days, no thanks. I'm with you, if this is what it has come down to, it will destroy college football anyway. On to Baseball.

BK ought to give 30% of his salary to NIL. That $3MM in the pot and let’s say 600 donors giving $100 a month will put us at or above that mark. It’s still not enough but I think 30% of a $10MM salary isn’t that unreasonable. Especially since the only reason he came here was for National Championships.

BK makes a shite ton of money but nobody’s giving up 30% of their income to NIL. I could see giving up each bonus he gets every year to go to NIL though.

That said, he may not be eligible to donate to NIL, not sure of all the rules.

The website should make it easier to just set a monthly donation and forget about it. Have to go through steps of making a total pledge and then setting up a payment schedule seems needlessly complicated.

I think the people running it are idiots and that is part of the problem.

You know lsu fans would contribute if that meant a better roster. Austin Thomas do your job.

Has LSU just come out and straight up asked for donations to the NIL? The straightforward approach would be the easiest and most effective.

You should not have any problem with players getting paid when you consider the billions of dollars in revenue generated by college sports.

I don't have a problem with it I just don't want to pay them

Why should I want to pay college kids to play ball? They should just start a minor league for football.

If you don’t pay, don’t bitch when we don’t land the guys you want.

He is, dumbass. Our NIL was like a bag of feral cats before he got here. Now we at least have everyone pulling in the same direction and working together.

As for the better roster, you aren’t getting the chicken before the egg here. This cycle should be all the proof you need of that.

To set it up as a monthly recurring charge, you must add up your monthly donations as an annual amount.

Place that annual amount in the fund you'd like to donate to.

Instead of paying now, you click the "pledge now and pay later" option.

Submit.

Then go to "manage my giving" and you can then set it up monthly and make the first payment.

It should be more clear than that but it's not.

I’m already paying for five football season tickets and four for baseball. I’ve loved LSU all of my life and have worked to raise funds for multiple aspects of the university.

I’m not willing to give up hard earned money to start paying kids before they show a damn thing on the field and when they could be gone the very next year.

Sorry, but this is not what college athletics is supposed to be, and if it means we win less with players who bleed purple and gold, so be it.

The NFL is reaping the benefits of having a farm system that they pay nothing for. Let them start subsidizing college football if we’re going to have professionals playing the collegiate game.

I think starting 2025, the avg player would make $100K each.

LSU gets something like 20mil to divvy it up amongst all the players

I used to do 25$ a month, then they switched it TAF and stopped my auto debit. It would help if they offered people some benefits for their money for this NIL crap. I already pay for 5 season tickets plus an extra voluntary 1000$ donation to TAF… maybe they should lower those seat donation fees since that apparently can’t go to towards players. so what happens if people stop giving to TAF and donate to NIL, then they will keep raising seat prices/fees. Just seems like a never ending cycle that does not benefit the fan. We need the courts to ban this crap under the current format… not encourage it by giving them more money so they can drive a G-wagon to practice.
