For what it's worth, any fans attending this expected barn burner game. The city of Batesville now has a new shopping center with a Chick-fil-A, a Hobby Lobby, Ulta, Ross, TJ Max, Bath and Body, and an Academy Sporting Goods right off of I55 by all the hotels where you take Hwy 6 to Oxford.

Oh I agree.
Batesville is nothing special. Just throwing the info out for travelers.

Can stop there and get a cheap Ole Miss shirt to burn at a tailgate.

I'll be down voted for this, but don't for a second think I'm wrong about it.

I WOULD NOT wear LSU gear into ANY restaurant that weekend in or near Oxford.

The % is small, but there will be idiots flucking with your food if they see you wearing LSU.

Again, scoff at what I say at your own peril. THIS situation is that serious down there.

And hope your seats aren’t near the student section

LSU gets a bad rap sometimes but OM will completely show their arse on this game, W or L.

Just be careful

Leaving at dawn, using someone’s car with MS tags and driving back after. I’d normally spend the whole weekend in Oxford, but staying long enough to see an arse beating and then getting the hell out.

This reads like it was written by someone on the Batesville Alderman Board.

Which one are you, good sir?

And its highly unlikely you will get that spot on any football weekend, let alone an anticipated game. You may be in Batesville or some other small town like Holly Springs.

Or pay thousands of dollars for a min 2 night stay.

Just a poor old citizen happy to finally see some development here.

This will be their Super Bowl so expect a riot either way with a win or a loss. Tread carefully.

Do you think they'll save up batteries for the game, or will they buy new ones?

Might be able to stock up on "donated" batteries at Vaught Hemingway Stadium.

I knew some of you knuckle draggers would respond that way, and that's fine. And it's possible you're just giving me shite and kidding which is ok too.

Just understand some disgusting shite WILL.BE INGESTED by folks wearing Tiger gear in those restaurants that weekend.

Like I said before, it'll be a small, but significant enough percentage. This isn't about not wearing LSU gear to the game you ole tough guy you. It's about eating/drinking shite I would prefer not to, and I'm not going to Oxford by the way. We're going to Kentucky for our road game this year.

I'm staying in Olive Branch. Still trying to figure out where to park in Oxford though. Parking passes are astronomically high online right now.

Last year We tail gated in the Grove with a good couple friend of ours and their son who graduated from OM about 10 years ago. Maybe because we were with them but the OM tail gaters couldn’t have been friendlier! We were welcomed into multiple tail gate parties ! After the game I got one F…. LSU from a surly drunk but it was nothing.
