LSU fans should be much more worried about parking than Ole Miss fans’ behavior. This is so much bigger than the Eli game and I remember that for that game if you weren’t parked by 8:00am, you missed kickoff.
The town is 25,000 population. It’s going to be absolute gridlock.

We had a parking pass that came with the tickets last year but that’s a good point in general !

Just a poor old citizen happy to finally see some development here.
My wife actually just took a job at the FedEx distribution center there. With all of the corporate consolidation, she had to leave her role in Olive Branch. It was either there or North Memphis, so in that case, Batesville doesn’t seem so bad.

That was last year.
A few feeling have been hurt since. Ole piss was flying high. It's was easy to be generous and kind last year.
This year will a little more intense.
To those going....get your affairs in order.
The Bama bum drapping his junk on a drunk may seem mild this time around.

If you really want to score some cooch hit Beau Rivage; like shooting fish in a barrel especially if you have a bit of a S La accent !

Salient points no doubt ! I’ll find out soon enough ! I’ll be in the same seats as last year amongst a lot of Ole Miss fans !

Go to Rebel Rags once you make it into Oxford. They sell everything Ole Miss there. Plenty of tinder for your gameday fire. Flags, jerseys, hats, the whole nine

Their Super Bowl. Will not take losing this came very well. It will get ugly. Expect to see more than a few LA state troopers around LSU bench.

Go stay in New Albany. Not that far away and the one we stayed at multiple times this summer has huge rooms. Doesn’t look the best from the outside but good stay for the price. Holiday inn express. Not your normal Holiday inn express but staff very friendly and rooms were big to the point if you had a double bed room you also had a sofa bed and enough room for a blow up mattress if you are college kids or something and looking to cram some folks in for cheap

Isn't Batesville a big casket making center?

We own a farm in Batesville. It’s a small town, but I rather like it.
It will never be a bustling metropolis, but that’s kind of the point after living in BR for 38 years.
I’d recommend stopping to eat at the Kennel Club, which is across Hwy 6 from the Academy.
Food is good to very good. I tend to order the queen pork chop or a steak. The seafood dishes wont match South La, but they’re okay.
I mostly avoid Oxford unless I have to do business there. I’ll admit the square is nice on game day (as is the Grove) for the eye-candy.
I do miss the cooking and fishing in South La.

I believe it was Krewe of Ragoo that used to have a ceremonial burning of opposing fan gear.

F___ Batesville and f___ oxfart. Those old mississippi “burning” folks are an abomination.

We stayed in Batesville a few years back for the LSU-Ole MIss Game and it was fine. Nothing Special but convenient, only about an hour to Ole MIss, and way Cheaper than staying closer.

Just don't drive drunk back to Batesville from Oxford. Trust me.
