Lol, you're getting downvoted for speaking the truth. LSU fans like to talk about how teams like USC and Notre Dame are yearly overrated, yet before this year we we were also getting the same treatment and then fell on our asses.

You really love OU, and it has clouded what intelligence you may have when it comes to big 12 defenses. Simply put, they play zero defense, including OU. Alabama will score practically every time they touch the ball barring turnovers. OU will be stopped many times, as those hail Mary passes Murray throws will actually have defenders close by. Watch.

Dude. No one respects the big 12. Literally no one. There is practically zero competition. It is why many argued a 2 loss ga should have gone over a 1 loss big 12 champion.

Probably before your time, since you sound like you are 20...but OU once played lsu with this prolific offense and Heisman winner averaging almost 50 points a game in regular season. LSU held them to 14. Nothing has changed.

You only answer questions that fit your narrative. I’m not even defending what we do at LSU. Their results are the same as ours in the grand scheme: no titles. So whats the point of being envious of a program that hasn’t done any either but has a flashy offense? I just don’t see the point

Bob Stoops not wanting to fire his brother is the only thing that's kept Oklahoma from winning at least one title over the past 7 years. It was Nepotism plain and simple. You can't tell me you can't have a good defense there when TCU does it and even WVU has done it. Lincoln Riley kept him around out of respect until he couldn't stand it.

Lol. Yes their d is much better with stoops gone. Holy fk. Please change your favorite team to OU. It is like a school girl blushing when you talk about OU, yet most of the sports world recognizes what conference they are in and so respects them accordingly.

I live in the heart of Big12 country.. trust me, the pass heavy stuff won’t work against elite teams that control the clock and play great defense. I believe everyone should strive for what Urban Meyer did with his Florida and Ohio State Teams.

and Alabama will embarrass them because they can't run the football.

I mean it is not a knock it is just the truth. When those types of teams play teams with defenses, they lose, an overwhelming majority of the time. You don't need a great offense to score on OU. But a good defense will shut them down much more than their own d can shut down the opposing teams offense. Will they score? Sure. But the outcome will be the same. Quick 3 and outs, or even quick scoring plays will lead to an exhausted defense against a team who controls the ball and plays d.

How many CFP has LSU made?

Put Oklahoma in the SECW and it would be the same as LSU... ZERO!

So far this year Bama has passed 374 and run 492 times. On,y 82 of the runs have been Tua or Hurts, so 410 other rushes as compared to 254. Georgia’s numbers are 322 and 537. Pass first is pansy Big 12 (or 10, or whatever) stuff.

Oklahoma would lose two games or more each year in the SEC West. Playing in a pass happy no defense Big 12 inflates QB stats.

Maybe a lesson in Alabama’s defense. They put up 45 in regulation vs UGA a year ago.

And they were relevant because of ... defense and a punishing run game.

Amazing what a pass first offense can do.

Oklahoma has thrown 364 passes. They have run the ball 495 times.
LSU has thrown 353 pass and run the ball 511 times.

Oklahoma’s offense is successful because the average 6.67 YPC and play in a conference full of shitty defenses while LSU averages 4.10 YPC in a conference that is home to 6 of the Top 15 P-5 defenses.

and a lot of lucky momentum swings (from D/ST)

that team maxed out the D/running archetype and it ultimately led to our program's back being broken (by a similar team who had a much more balanced offense)

the game has changed a lot since then. hell RPOs were just being introduced at that point and now they're standard in CFB and the NFL

Bama still will destroy that kind of offense while their offense has evolved about 3 times since then and now is elite. we're still trying to redo the flawed 2011 style/scheme that broke our program and continue to refuse to adapt to modern CFB
