It sure looked like he was going to be the feature back the last two years had he not gotten injured.

He took over the USC game and was a split second from scoring the go-ahead TD.

Now do Bert Jones and you can put a bow on the 1970s.

Get the pre-2000s (Faulk is a lock) in this decade because we're going to need space for the post 2000 players.

He was never the feature back. His career high in yardage was 103 against Vandy back in 2020!
And you want him to have 7th season?

This! No decent coach would have made room for Emery at a top program. He should have retired rather than risk another injury that is going to affect the rest of his life.

Letting Emery go was a mistake - he’s literally a grown man amongst boys now and would have been the best “thunder” to Durham’s “lightning.”

At least we can track this by following his production at UTSA this year

Charles the Great was playing when I lived in BR. I was there when he broke a ?61? yard TD against ?Ole Miss?. He exploded like a bomb and blew by the entire defense. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But I loved him as a RB, and met him when we installed a security system in his house. A truly nice person, and was honored to have met him.

Great college running back, underrated player in the history of the game, was a 2x All-American and Heisman candidate at a time when LSU wasn't as heralded a national contender as it is now

He came and visited my 3rd grade class at Twin Oaks elementary back in his LSU days. I remember him being awesome, friendly, and unselfish with his time. My mom told me he was a dummy. I wanted to punch her.

Charles was a great back; he left some of his talent on the field at LSU. I remember him coming in as a young man and wrecking Ole Miss.

The jerseys used to be "tear away" jerseys. As a kid my brothers and I would head to the stands behind the team after the games and trainers would throw the scraps to the kids. This was part of our haul.

We haven't had a bruising back since #7

Don't have to be a bruiser to be effective. Honestly - hands and balance are better in today's game than the pure brute strength guys

Guice and Clydro were really f*cking good

If Caden can stay healthy - he's a monster

Guice was definitely not a "bruising" back

What? The dude was one of the hardest hitting RBs in our history. Bruising doesn't mean slow and non-agile.

That's the dumbest shite I've read all week.
Guice was absolutely a punishing runner and incredibly hard to tackle.

He's a top 10 all-time Back at LSU and his records should be reinstated. Not a damned thing came from the civil suits filed against him and he had no criminal record at LSU. That's some bullshite.

If you weren't in Fayetteville for the 2016 game, you missed one of the most dominant performances ever by an LSU running back.
21 carries for 252 yards.

I had this argument the other day with a grumpy old dude who didn't think anyone should have their jersey 'retired'. I said you're gonna be real mad when Grant Delpit has his retired too. For this exact reason. Casual fans have no fricking clue how bad arse Delpit was. And they definitely don't understand how it doesn't happen by year 3 b/c nobody throws your way.

Delpit deserves the same in a decade or two.

#4 is the best looking number on the field. I think we can still use that number - it would be tragic if we couldn't.
