LSU doesn't do fundamentals.
I mean, that was apparent the entire CWS.
It's truly shocking honestly. Given their talent, there almost seems a devil may care attitude towards basic baseball.

We surprisingly put down a perfect bunt in the most crucial moment of the season. They've been bunting Freeman all series with mixed results and he managed to get the runner over without a sacrifice.

Our worst hitters in Omaha are going to be gone next year. All of the guys who were clutch will be back. If all of our freshman fielders get better next year, we should be really fun to watch again.

Of course, the worst bunting of the night was that one Florida kid who looked so helpless even the announcers said they would never ask him to bunt again.
When they showed the replay from up top, I laughed out loud.
I was like, "how in the frick are these dudes THIS talented and when it's time to bunt, it looks like they handed the bat to my wife?"

In my senior year of high school I got traded from the baseball team to the quiz bowl team. That's how good a ball player I was.

I still think it's baserunning. There's times to be aggressive and times to play smart. It doesn't have to be all or none.
