Nolan Cain sounds pretty postiive on Henry tonight.

says he has a number that has to be hit or else he has no problem coming back and upping his stock into the top 20

Stranger things have happened, but I'd be very surprised if Henry came back. Obviously, I know less about the situation than Cain.

Was he on OTB? I want to listen to that interview later.

Yep, OTB

He also says "We found out yesterday that they're lifting the 35man roster this year. We Didnt get more scholly money but when from being able have 27 kids to being able to have 32 guys on scholarship. They are allowing us to go below 25% per kid. We always have 36 or 37 but this year could see us close to 40."

That's good to hear. The lack of movement in the transfer portal for some guys makes me wonder if they're going to come back with the expanded roster.

I think that fall baseball should be expanded as well to have more games against other schools.

And I wouldn't mind an extra 4 regular season games in the spring to get the schedule up to 60. With the bigger rosters it would give more chances to get guys game action.

Yeah I'm not really sure where else these players will go. They just need to increase the roster limits beyond for just what seniors you have.

Just dont count seniors and increase the roster size for rest of players to like 38 or something.

Will be some intense position battles
Our midweek pitching could very well be weekend guys in most seasons. Can bring along the new pitchers during midweek games.

Bullpens around the SEC (and other conferences, but who cares) are going to be stacked.

Cole Henry was on one of the showes last night on 103.7 in Lafayette. I missed the interview though. Would love to know what he said. I checked their website and app, but they are both pretty garbage.

With Henry's injury history I might take the money and go MLB
His velocity dropped off that last game he pitched and PM already pushed him back in the rotation to start off SEC play

Michael Lagarrigue is showing in the transfer portal on D1 Baseball. I know this was expected, but now it's more official so I can make it reflect in the numbers in the OP.

That's really good to hear. It must have just come down from the NCAA since we haven't heard it from some of the national media outlets like Baseball America or D1 Baseball.

Kendall Rogers now reporting that the relief is (for next season only):

- No 35 man cap
- 32 can be on scholarship instead of 27
- 25% scholarship minimum eliminated

ETA: Nolan Cain said on the radio this morning that we will probably carry around 40 guys. Pre-draft, without anyone that's currently in the portal, we are at 46.
